Budapest, November 22 (MTI) - Police prevented some 450 members of the banned Hungarian Guard, the uniformed arm of the radical nationalist Jobbik party, from joining a march marking the 90th anniversary of interwar leader Admiral Miklos Horthy's entry to Budapest on Sunday.

A group of about 1,000 residents got the go-ahead to march from Kosztolanyi to Szent Gellert square on Sunday afternoon, but Guard members wearing the banned uniform were stopped from joining them.

Socialist Party leader Ildiko Lendvai and anti-fascist civil groups raised their voices against the march, which they called a "neo-fascist parade". Lendvai called on political parties to dissociate themselves from the march. continues here
