La. Justice Quits After Interracial Wed Flap

Could your child be branded a racist next? It beggars belief that thousands of primary school children are being reported by the authorities

13:53 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

A six-year-old child cowers tearfully in her school's office. She knows she is in serious trouble for uttering a 'bad' word. Her fear is compounded by confusion.

She has been accused of racism but is far too young to understand the gravity of the charge or grasp its dire implications.

But she knows her transgression is a dreadful one: a phone call has been made to her parents; official forms have been filled in; the adults around her wear dutifully censorious expressions.

The little girl is in tumult. She has to be reassured that the police will not come and take her away.

What heinous crime has she committed? During the course of a playground game, she has called another child 'blacky'.

The 'victim' has neither complained about, nor even noticed, the remark. But a playground supervisor has.

Diligently - and observing the Government procedures requiring all our schools to report 'racist incidents' - she has frog-marched the culprit to the office. In due course the little girl's 'crime' is logged on local authority files.

From there it becomes an official Government statistic.

The incident is not an isolated one. Similar scenes are enacted in primary and even nursery schools every day, all over Britain.

Local government race officials now urge schools to operate a zero-tolerance approach to anyone - even infants and toddlers - who could be construed as racist. As a result, children's playground spats are elevated into full-blown dramas.

A nine-year-old child calls another a 'chocolate bar'. The culprit's parents and head teacher are duly informed; the child is reprimanded and denied play-time.

During a boisterous game of football, a girl calls a boy 'white trash'. The heavy machinery cranks into motion again: she, too, becomes one of the estimated tens of thousands of children deemed guilty of racism since the Government's racist incident reporting policy was implemented in 2002.

A recent survey reported 5,000 'racist' incidents in Yorkshire schools alone, between 2006 and 2007.

In Essex 1,566 cases were noted in the three years up to 2005. Spurred on by a notion that even two-year-olds are capable of prejudice, Kent kindergartens have finalised a project to train staff in challenging racist statements from toddlers.

Battalions of diversity officers and ethnic minority coordinators the length and breadth of the country are doubtless applauding Kent's brave initiative, while pursuing, with messianic zeal, their mission to unmask legions of name-calling infants as incipient racists.

Is Britain really a country mired in such bigotry? Actually - and controversially - I am daring to say it is not. Doubtless I will be accused by the anti-racist zealots of heresy, but I believe it is a myth that racism is rife in British schools.

And I speak from first-hand experience. Eleven years ago I set up Coyote Films, and for the past decade I have worked as a community film-maker on video projects in schools in collaboration with various arts organisations.

As a result of my involvement in such projects, three years ago I was hired to make a film for Essex primary schools as part of a project called Watch Out For Racism!

It was aimed at nine to 11-year- olds because data from the county's schools had apparently revealed that the overwhelming majority of racist incidents - verbal namecalling was the prime offence - occurred within this age group.

I went with a team of drama tutors to 'raise awareness' of the issues through anti-racist workshops. I expected to find a problem. Actually I did not. On the contrary, the schools I visited were good ones with vibrant, diverse communities in which black and ethnic minority children mixed harmoniously with the white majority.

However, it had been preordained: these schools had 'issues' and our job was to unearth them and force the children to acknowledge them.

The drama tutors' remit was a familiar one: they wanted the kids to focus on their racial 'identity' and celebrate their differences.

But the children had a different view. 'Isn't it what's on the inside that matters?' asked several children, pertinently. Others were equally determined not to be railroaded by the agenda of the Government's anti-racism missionaries.

'I don't think skin colour is important,' remarked one. Meanwhile a white pupil asked - to the palpable embarrassment of every adult present - whether white kids were allowed to be proud of their identities, too.

In another session, chaos disintegrated into farce when a young black boy was asked how he identified himself. The drama tutor misheard his mumbled response. 'Ah, a dark-skinned person!' she said.

'No, a dancing person,' he elucidated. Later the same child was asked if his friends were hurt by name-calling incidents. He shrugged dismissively. 'Some kids say things, but I say sticks and stones - you know what I mean?'

Which is precisely my point: children do insult each other; they have since time began. The school playground should be a maelstrom of exuberant sociability where kids are allowed to play games, shout, fall-out, tease each other and make up. This is how they learn and imbue important life-lessons in selfsufficiency and resilience.

It seems to me profoundly wrong that their childish games are now routinely observed and scrutinised for sinister content; that parents, and on occasion the police and Crown Prosecution Service, are even drawn in.

In some cases the consequences are the stuff of nightmares-children face official police reprimands; even court cases. Friendships fracture; animosities spring up, where none existed before - and the whole issue of race is magnified. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy: if someone says there is racism, it must exist.

Further, teachers' time is wasted and their attention deflected from more serious incidents of real bullying as they are buried under the avalanche of paperwork and procedure that must accompany the so-called race-hate crimes.

Surely we should learn to trust teachers - in partnership with parents - to deal with these incidents, without heavyhanded State intervention? After all, this is what they were trained to do.

Please do not assume that I condone real racism in any way. I decry it as monstrous; any rightthinking individual would. Indeed, for 20 years I lived in East London where I campaigned against racism. I joined the Rock Against Racism march in 1979.

My experience, I feel, qualifies me to speak out. Yet most are simply too afraid to challenge the Government's orthodoxy.

In staffrooms teachers whisper their criticisms of the ' zerotolerance' approach for fear of being branded racist themselves. They worry that by ignoring minor infringements they will be construed as condoning them; so they dutifully tick all the right boxes. And in this way a deeply flawed system is perpetuated.

At the heart of the whole misconceived Government strategy lies a paradox: the schools that diligently report each minor breach of the rules are often very good ones; yet they are perceived to be the ones needing most help.

But there are no winners here. The official local government mantra typically states that schools which submit no incident returns must be ignoring, and therefore condoning, racism. They can't win, can they?

I believe Britain is more racially harmonious today than it ever has been. We should be celebrating the fact. It is also more ethnically diverse than it has ever been. In London almost half the under-fives have a multicultural heritage. continues here

Mixed marriage rates rise in Australia

Researchers say the growth in intermarriage is evidence that racism is waning

Most Aboriginal men and women intermarry with non-indigenous Australians, new research has shown.

Analysis of the 2006 census reveals that 52% of Aboriginal men and 55% of Aboriginal women were married to non-Aboriginal Australians.

In Australia's larger east coast cities, the intermarriage rate was well above 70%; in Sydney, as many as nine out of 10 university-educated Aborigines had a non-indigenous partner.

Until the 1970s, hostility to such unions prompted the government to remove their children, creating what became known as the "stolen generation." Researchers from Melbourne's Monash University say the growth in intermarriage is evidence that racism is waning in Australia.

Dr Bob Birrell, who led the research said: "In the US, the social divide between black and white is deep, and intermarriage rates with African Americans is 8%. We don't see any parallel here. Prejudice to intermarriage has pretty much evaporated."

He said a growing number of people identified themselves as Aboriginal – up from 250,738 in 1982 to 455,028 in 2006 – which was further evidence of declining prejudice.

But Birrell said demographics, not politics, were the main factor in the growth of cross-cultural relationships. Intermarriage was "especially high when the indigenous move into communities where they are the minority", he said.

In the Northern Territory – where Aborigines in are the majority – far fewer choose partners from a non-indigenous background. In the capital city of Darwin, 33% of men and 45% of women marry non-Aboriginal partners, while, in the outback, just 2% of men and 5% of women take a non-Aboriginal partner.

Yet despite the growth in mixed marriages in Australia's urban centres, racist notions dating back to the 19th century persist and children of mixed parentage are still described as "half-caste" or "quarter-caste".

Linda Burney, the first indigenous person elected to the New South Wales parliament, said that, despite the figures, indigenous Australia was unlikely to disappear altogether.

"My mother was white, my father Aboriginal but I am Aboriginal. I have one child who is very fair, blue eyed and blonde and the other has a very similar dark complexion to me. Their father was an Aborigine with an English father and an Aboriginal mother," she said. continues here

One in six rapes committed by foreign attackers, shock police figures reveal

23:47 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

One in six rapes in Britain were carried out by foreigners last year, police figures have revealed.

Migrant workers and illegal immigrants were responsible for up to a third of all sex attacks in some areas.

Greater London was worst affected, with foreigners charged in connection with a third of rapes.

The figures were revealed following a Freedom of Information request by the Daily Express.

High numbers of non-UK citizens charged with sex attacks were also prevalent in areas with large immigration populations, including Cambridgeshire, Merseyside, Hertfordshire, Avon and Somerset.

Conservative MP David Davies says the figures are evidence of Labour’s failure to monitor the immigration system.

He said: ‘We need to make sure that anyone who has convictions for serious offences in their own country is not allowed into Britain.

‘Anyone found guilty of this heinous crime should be given a long prison sentence and then be deported to their country of origin, whatever that country’s human rights record.’

Sir Andrew Green, of MigrationWatch UK, said: ‘This is the downside of the free movement of people.’

Latvian serial rapist Viktors Dembovskis, 42, was given three life sentences for raping and murdering 17-year-old Jeshma Raithatha as she walked home from school.

Illegal immigrant Peter Delisser, 36, was twice deported back to his home country of Jamaica, but crept back into Britain to rape and beat a teenager in Bristol.

According to Home Office statistics, more than 11,500 women and 1,000 men were raped in the UK over a 12-month period in 2007-8.

Police say it is difficult to bring foreign rapists to justice due to the large number of migrant workers and illegal immigrants in the country.  continues here

Apparently, I'm not British

22:40 by Editor · 1 Post a comment on AAWR

According to the Daily Mail, even second- and third-generation children born in the UK are not truly 'British'

In another lifetime, a few years ago, when I used to run messageboards primarily populated by British Asians, we were occasionally invaded by National Front and BNP trolls. They told us to "go back to your own country", and we retorted that we were born here and had as much right to call ourselves British as they did. Their retort almost inevitably was: "Just because a dog is born in a stable doesn't make it a horse".

But who really takes lessons in citizenship from BNP activists? I've always maintained that we decide whether to call ourselves British, English or whatever other identity, not the racists. I have a Sikh mate with a large beard who sports his English football shirt with its big St George's flag with pride. Who am I to argue with him?

But, apparently, journalists at the Daily Mail are not happy with that state of affairs.

In a typical anti-immigration article in the Daily Mail yesterday,
journalists Steve Doughty and James Slacker wrote:

However although the figures from the Government's Office for National Statistics show an increase in numbers of foreign-born people they still fail to record the true impact of immigration because they record their children as British rather than second- or third-generation immigrants.
The implication is clear: you may be the second, third or fourth generation born in the UK, but you're still not truly British. Daily Mail journalists, in other words, are happily pushing BNP views and their editor Paul Dacre is happy to let it pass.

James Slacker has a long history of abusing statistics to produce inflammatory hysteria around immigration. So this should come as no surprise.

But this is the first time I've seen a national newspaper endorse the view that "the true impact of immigration" is being hidden because people such as myself, or anyone with Irish, American, African or Asian ancestry, shouldn't classify themselves as British.

As Sunder Katwala of the Fabians says in an open letter to Paul Dacre:

I hope that your proposed reclassification of Prince
Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry as not British, as second and third generation immigrants descended from the foreign-born Philip, will not distress them too much.

Choose your path

Can you feel it, can you smell it, can you discern it from afar, can you make out the slow steady creep of genocide, do you care, I mean do you, as you go about your daily life, caught up in the current and hanging on for you and yours and after all, does it matter. You recoil instinctively from the tag “hater”, it throws your thoughts into disarray, quiets the tongue and inhibits action and so we die, once more slowly, now apace, yet there is barely a voice to bewail our passing, barely a defence against our end. We throw it all away with barely a thought, perhaps we have not the time, our life’s so important and those to come so very disregarded, we buy low energy items now to save the planet, yet refuse to save ourselves, refuse to act to save our genes and continue as nature intended.

I see it almost daily, little brown faces gawking out from buggies and pushchairs, smiling Picaninnies inheritor’s supreme, how I pity them those few whites to come, those bare minimum, that shrinking pool, no need then for draconian law, for authoritarian chicanery, the deed is done and we are no more. Oh they will still fight, still cross swords but we shall be no more and to this world we but a memory, a-has-been-but-now gone, a creature of old, an extinct myth, a creature denied life. Do you see what I see, do you bear witness, as all no longer care, is it over, is it, those many years when we created the world, when we created wonders for others to enjoy, still they hate us don’t they, loathe us and fear us, the final solution for the white man is to kill them off.

Oh but we do it to ourselves, those hordes not strong enough, those running men, gifted greater athletic prowess, could never outthink the thinker, never invent the wheel or set the ship a sailing, no other minds direct affairs, other minds ponder a way and now they have it, now they hold the day. So many, too many, brown eyes in brown faces, pushed by harried mothers across the urban blightscape, an army arising, a force to come and we kill off our young, murder our defence and set a course for death. Miscegenation is the new religion, as pews remain unpolished by buttocks in Sunday best, now Friday prayer attracts and the church kneels before it, capitulating all in hopes of leniency, no longer does Christendom face its lions, now it feeds them, prostrating itself for the mauling.

Can you not see, or do you never venture in country to where the change occurs, do you merely read the press, wholly owned and wholly biased ,do you never see what I see, just the vision duplicity gives you. Perhaps if I told how rare it is here, how rare for white children to enter this mortal coil, kicking and screaming, pained by the loss of mothers protection, sent here to send others on similar journey. Not as hens teeth not yet that rare but enough to crush the spirit, enough to leaden hope and encage a stomach in ice, now they run towards miscegenation, bound as hounds to the hare and our future ends. Perhaps six in every ten buggies, contain babes born for other climes, mostly pushed by white females their faces a grimace, as they push through a wall of disapproval, oh its there, no longer voiced but there, perhaps it is weaker, perhaps merely muted.

Still they cannot look me in the face and others have voiced such sentiment, others, who to see our demise and the rise of another world, it matters little the reason, be it rebelliousness or the states engineering, the story ends the same and not in our favour. Yet we stand, mute at the roadside as the army marches in, we lower the drawbridge and permit access to it all, when its gone of course its gone, we shall not return, least not in number, the world shall forever be shades of brown, a mono-nothingness presided over by evil. Will you ever use your voice, ever tell them no, or will you give them your children’s future, your children’s right, without a word, can you not see it already, as your children struggle for shelter, as the list grows longer and we languish at the bottom, can you not see it now as our old die of cold, whilst those that come to take get given, can you not see it now, as our children gain no employment and the working class return again below stairs. It needn’t be this way, needn’t be our end, we have the right to live, the right to life, let them call you “hater”, let them shout it at the very top of their voices and hold your head up high.

Your duty first is to your own and can never reside with others, your children are your genes and you must push them on, you must aid your own and in doing so contest their exploitation, contest those that would see them gone. Let me tell you that Europe is a white land, a white culture and they mean it gone, now as I write this, they pull it down and you stand around and watch them do it, watch them destroy it all. Can you not see their lies ,once they said it would not change a thing now we alter all, once they said few of number now the torrent, when will it stop, when will it end, when the halt and the clearer sky, never, it will never stop, it will go on and on until Europe is no more and then other places. Not white lands then for they will be no-more but other places, perhaps only the great mass in the east and India will survive , perhaps not, by then Europe is gone, America and the dominions, not a white land for a white race and we at most a Diaspora, a minority in every land, a punishment for our sins, at least in their hate filled eyes. So what is it, contestation of merely one creed or contestation of the many, do you march for an erroneous cause or your people, I chose my path, not really by choice but circumstance, what is yours.

Can We Get Past Race?

Books challenge the claim that Obama has ushered in a post-racial era.

BETWEEN BARACK AND A HARD PLACE

Racism and White Denial in The Age of Obama

Among the many words that accompanied Barack Obama on his long road to the White House -- "hope," "change," "Clinton" -- none has proved more provocative than "post-racial." The idea is as seductive as it is simplistic: that in electing a black president we have settled our national debt to people of color. The notion that America is now a post-racial society embodies both idealism and cynicism: a hope that the nation has overcome its racist past, and a desire to avoid the unfinished work of achieving true equality.

Among the skeptics of post-racialism is Tim Wise, a critic of "white privilege" (his own included) who looks on Obama's election with trepidation. He fears a blossoming of what he calls Racism 2.0, which allows whites to celebrate the achievements of an individual such as Obama while harboring deep prejudice toward minorities as a whole.

The punning title of his book, "Between Barack and a Hard Place," belies the sobering material within. Wise paints a stark picture of racial inequality in the United States today. He cites the disproportionate number of black men in prison, the increasing divide between rich and poor and a host of other disparities of opportunity, including those described in a study that found that white males with a criminal record were more likely than black males without one to be called back for job interviews, even when their credentials, experience, dress and style of communication were the same.

Rather than interpreting Obama's election as a sign of the diminishing importance of race, Wise sees it as a potential distraction. "The meaning of Obama remains to be seen," he writes, "but we can and must expect those with an interest in papering over racism and changing the subject to use him for precisely those purposes."

Wise's short book reads like an old-school polemic: Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" for the 21st century. His argument draws its strength more from the force of his conviction than from the rigor of his analysis.

William Julius Wilson's "More Than Just Race" is just the reverse: an attempt to avoid polarizing language and find practical ways forward. Wilson, a professor of sociology at Harvard, sees some truth both in liberal explanations of racism as a structural force (entrenched bias accounts for disparities of income and opportunity) and in conservative understandings of racial inequity as a cultural malady (the "culture of poverty" and dependency), although he believes that in the end "structure trumps culture."

Wilson shares with Wise a passionate belief that racial inequality is very much alive. Yet the two authors differ fundamentally in approach. Wise wants a call to account; he insists that the "race problem as the pundits have long called it -- is a white problem." Wilson wants "candid and critical" discussions that set blame aside in favor of an open exchange in "frank and hopeful terms."

Nowhere is this difference more apparent than in their wildly divergent assessments of the major speech on race that Obama delivered in Philadelphia during the 2008 campaign. Wise hears a certain calculation in Obama's "need to pander to the perceived needs of the national white electorate." For his part, Wilson hears "exactly the type of framing that can result in broad support to address the problems of race and poverty."

Though its title might suggest otherwise, "More Than Just Race" marks a decisive turn by one of our leading intellectuals. Several of Wilson's previous books, most notably "The Declining Significance of Race" and "The Bridge Over the Racial Divide," called for a colorblind political agenda. Wilson now says that he has changed his thinking and that "in framing public policy we should not shy away from an explicit discussion of the specific issues of race and poverty; on the contrary, we should highlight them."  continues here

Sir David Jason forced to say sorry after making a 'racist' joke on live radio

23:10 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

Del Boy might have got away with it simply by saying he had been a bit of a plonker.

Sir David Jason, however, found himself with a little more explaining to do after making a joke about Pakistanis on a live radio show.

Today the award-winning actor was accused of making 'inappropriate remarks' and being 'out of touch with reality' after making the blunder on Christian O'Connnell's Breakfast Show.

The 69-year-old star, who might be expected to be a bit less gaffe-prone than his Only Fools and Horses alter ego, was on the 'Who's Calling Christian' feature - where celebrities ring Absolute Radio with a chance to win £20,000 for charity.

His gaffe came when he was asked to leave a question for the next guest.

The Touch of Frost star replied: 'What do you call a Pakistani cloakroom attendant?'

Following a brief pause, he then delivered the punch line: 'Me hat, me coat.'

There was a stunned silence from presenter Christian O'Connell and Jason hastily added a genuine question about Ronnie Barker's early career.

No apology was given on air following the gaffe at 8am on Tuesday and the joke was swiftly edited out of the show's podcast posted on the radio's internet site.

Tonight the joke was greeted with dismay by director of media watchdog Mediawatch John Beyer, who said there was no place for such insensitive humour on air.

He said: 'It was an inappropriate comment, although I do not think it was meant in an offensive way. People are increasingly concerned about language on radio and television.

'Everyone is much more sensitive about racialist terms or terms that show carelessness or disrespect.

'People in the media need to learn the lesson that these kind of jokes are not appreciated any more.'

Mohammed Shafiq, of Muslim charity the Ramadhan Foundation, branded the comments inappropriate and out of touch with reality.

Mr Shafiq said: 'These are inappropriate remarks about a stereotype that may have held a little water in the 50's and 60's but is not true to today.

'David Jason needs to reflect on this and learn about the wealth of jobs held by Muslims.

'As a well known and well-loved actor he needs to be careful about what he says. He should've known better.'

Meanwhile stunned listener Oliver Rees, 25, of Stoke Newington, London, said he was shocked when he heard the blunder broadcast live.

Hair dresser Oliver said: 'We've all grown up with David Jason on TV. He's part of everyone's family. I never thought he would say something racist.

'It was so disappointing to hear him come out with such a tasteless and inappropriate comment.

'He should apologise for being such a plonker. Even Rodney would be ashamed.'

As for Jason, one of Britain's best-loved actors, a spokeswoman said he had been taken aback to learn that he had caused offence and was 'sorry' to have upset anyone.

'As far as he's concerned he made a joke which he thought was quite funny and he did not perceive it as a racist anymore than if it had been about an English person or a Scottish person.

'He's distressed that it upset people and is really sorry if it did.'

A spokeswoman for Absolute Radio said there had been no complaints to the station from listeners.

She said O'Connell tried to distance himself from the joke on air by saying 'no more jokes like that' after Jason's jibe.

Last night Britain's first Muslim minister Shahid Malik, who is of Pakistani origin said he was surprised anybody had found the joke racist.

'It really is a storm in a tea cup,' he said. 'Firstly it's not funny, secondly it's unfortunate because Mahatma Gandhi was Indian, and I don't perceive it as racist.

'I'm a big fan of David Jason. The only thing is he's let me down because it's not very funny.'

A radio spokesman said: 'The comments made by David Jason were unacceptable and Christian O’Connell distanced himself from them live on-air by swiftly saying, “no more jokes like that”.

'To minimise any offence amongst our listeners we also edited the comments from the Breakfast Show podcast.

'We consider the views of our listeners to be very important and have received no complaints about these comments.'  continues here

Carla Bruni 'besotted' after becoming aunt to African baby... will she adopt one of her own?

13:38 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

Carla Bruni has become an aunt to a baby from an impoverished African village - increasing her own desire to adopt one of her own.

The 41-year-old supermodel is said to be ‘besotted’ with the four-month-old boy, whose mother is the French First Lady’s older sister, actress and comedienne Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, 44.

The news was announced in French magazine Point de Vue on Wednesday. It comes after a highly personal interview in Madame Figaro magazine earlier this month, in which Carla spoke of adopting.

What she didn’t reveal at the time was the new arrival.

‘It’s the first time Carla has become an aunt and she’s thrilled that a black African is now part of her family,’ said a source close to the former supermodel in Paris.

It raises the intriguing possibility of Carla and her husband, head of state Nicolas Sarkozy, becoming parents of the first black French presidential baby in history.

No French president has ever adopted a child, although Francois Mitterand had a love child who was kept secret until the president died.

Only this week the First Lady launched the Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Foundation, aimed at improving educational opportunities for immigrant youths from troubled housing estates.

She is committed to improving race relations, and reversing the reputation for discrimination and racism which the French Republic has built up over the years.

In the interview in early March Carla was asked directly if she was intending to become pregnant soon.

She replied: ‘I would like that, but I don't know if it will be possible at my age.

‘If it's not possible biologically, I will adopt one. I'm not obsessed by blood ties. I think you can form strong bonds without that.’

Miss Bruni has a seven-year-old son, Aurélien, from a previous relationship while her husband, who is 54, has three sons and two step-daughters from his two previous marriages.

Expanding on her enthusiasm for adoption, Miss Bruni even said it was the ‘purest form of motherhood.’

She said: ‘If someone had deposited my son AurĂ©lien in a basket in front of the door like in the fairy stories, I would love him in the same manner.

‘Being someone’s mother, it’s for always, not solely the first nine months, and that lasts a lifetime.

‘Adoption is perhaps the purest form of motherhood. Therefore I would love to have a child but I will not fight against nature.’ continues here

‘She loves the little boy, and there’s no doubt that the next step will be adopting one of her own if she can’t have a child biologically.

‘Carla followed every minute of her sister’s long adoption procedure, so now knows exactly how it’s done.’

You expect in a way to change the world, at least I did, well, not perhaps the world but at least some minds, I thought that if perhaps I could elucidate the truth that is nationalism, if I could convey racial realism rather than racial hate then perhaps individuals could follow their nose, could if you will, begin their own very personal journey towards true understanding. I was almost evangelical in my zeal, “somewhat understandable, given my childhood wish to be a man of the cloth”, although perhaps that tale is for another time, in any event I wished to crash through apathy, cut a swath through duplicity and lead others to the realisation, of the very real peril, that stalks our civilisation and seeks to consign our race to mere memory, if even that.

I believed that in writing truth would out, to many this may seem naive, yet it is not the first time and it would be a wonder indeed, if such overblown notions were not to happen again, except in a different context, certainly such ideas lead only to trouble or at least to despondency, I remember vividly all these years later my run towards the flag, my race towards sadness, my gallop towards comprehension. Oh they would have nothing of us now we skinheads, we young men caught up in fashion and girls, so proud to be British, we wore the flag with pride, half inch turn ups at the weekend and at school, trousers just below the knee.

We drew union jacks on our school books, our bags and in some cases our bedroom walls, I loved my MA1 whilst others the Harrington or crombie, back then of course politics had no meaning we loved the flag because it was us, because we were British and we were dam proud of it, there was a dividing line, a line there even to this day, a line based on race. Then of course they were not known as “wiggers” but “rudeboys” and between them and us there was a lot of difference, we were not to know the scheming that occurred to promote alien elements above the indigenous, until some years later.

We were just kids really but we were hated, loathed, despised, “we still are”, even the right used us, “now they just throw us away, call us Nazi’s, fascists or worse, back then of course childhood still called us, soccer over the park, jumpers for goalposts, tracking, yet always the Saturday trip into town. Strangely all of this still happens, at least here, it may be that here, in my little part of this country, tradition carries, yet I believe that such behaviours are innate to the teenager, here though it is not our town anymore, here there is danger, threat, menace.

It is hard to convey what they have done, what they are still doing and we, all of us, can never understand why, this then is the nature of this weblog, the reason, everything aside, it is a last shout, a last gulp of air, before I and those like me are lost to this place. Oh and we’re dying, one cannot help but see, cannot help but notice, its no longer even incremental as it used to be, before confidence leaped in the hearts of the destroyers and they opened the floodgates. Too late we were already gone, ha, we were dying already but we fooled you so you bombarded us, used cannon where only a sling-shot were needed.

Now you’re sure, now we stagger and we are the alien, yet still many of our young make the pilgrimage to town, of course now they must keep to certain areas, most of town is not open to them, because of the danger, the threat, many parents refuse to let their children travel to town, refuse to offer them to the gods of chance, yet the young are young but once, circumstance will rein them in soon enough. Yet in my teenage years it was different, we could walk where we will, unperturbed, free, they had their areas of course, however, this place still belonged to its creators, still belonged to its people, things began to change later on. It was at that age that I began to know violence, began through no fault of my own, to become the thug, they call those like me, the chattering classes looked down their noses and then to, so did the middle class’s, even elements of the working class held similar attitudes.

I and a few others had to travel through their areas, had to make our way home from school under difficult conditions or at least, they were to become so, I saw anti-white hatred first hand, before many, I lived it and living here, still do. It’s never fair, an attack has never the classiness depicted in movies, its always nasty, scary and heart pounding, predators never attack without confidence and confidence does not grow, without expectation of a result in their favour, this almost always means many assailants or the use of implements. This is now common knowledge amongst us all, now, in this place but then, I and those like me were deemed at fault and still to many are, yet the game is still the same and now my own children have to play it and that I can tell you, is far scarier then facing attack yourself.

Yet to, my own son has been disallowed the pleasure of a carefree adolescence, prohibited the pleasure of being young, he to has had to harden, morph, become, simply to survive, in a place of aching danger, its not fair but who said it would be, who ever said, that those high up in towers of ivory, ever care for those they have to squint to see. Fairness doesn’t come into it, when in their view, “you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelette” and we the countries back-bone are simply the eggs, simply a part of the over-all meal.

So me and my fellow thugs had no future, Maggie had ripped apart the country, the right had fallen and there were no jobs for us, time had moved on and the wigger became fashionable, gone the flag, now the track-suit. Yet I and some of us thugs, ran as I say, towards the flag, it was as if it held a mystical attraction, as if we were merely living deposits of pride, in a country where pride was ebbing. Such fools we were, such naivety, such stupidity but off we went following that flag, off at a run to take the silver, believing then to, that we could change the world, a lie, a waste, just another way of using members of the despised class.

Long lines of us have trodden that route, millions of us used by malicious elites, send to die for causes unworthy send to fight for nothing, it was all we had, not a job to be seen, not a career to embrace, we had nothing. It is as if they have targeted us, as if we of all must be broken ruined and finally destroyed and not a one will shed a tear, oh the middle-classes rally against Islam, now that it knocks at their door, they wring their hands and lament, whilst we already live in the world they fear, already exist in that awful place, gone for us England, gone for us Wales, gone for us Ireland and Scotland is no-more.

Our country ended some time ago, its just taken you others time to catch up but you haven’t yet, you’ve yet to know, yet to experience, yet to die, yet to walk the streets your fathers did and see such change, yet to see year on year, the rise of an alien nation and the end of civilisation. In this place men grow scared of having daughters, least they pair against their blood or suffer if they do not, in this place old eyes radiate their sorrow as their owners hide in doors, in this place jobs are as gold and pound shops predominate. In this place, men have nothing and women less, in this place, the last remaining whites huddle together, on the fringes of this their once own city, as the invasion moves outwards, there is no stopping it, at least not here, postcodes fall like castles and the force moves on.

What did we ever do, what crime did we commit, what offence did we make, for them to hate us, for them to kill us off so horribly, this is no benign plan, no event to celebrate, this is cold calculated murder, this is a holocaust, should I use such a word, for surely it belongs only to the Jews, only and always to them. Others must not be allowed to have the word and in any event the plight of whites is never mentioned, oh they may write articles, (some of which I link to) however, they never regard the coming event as wrong, we are never compared to the noble red Indian, the Aztec or others, never, we must breathe our last and not even mention it.

Foolishly we allow our murderers to browbeat us, permit them to force our capitulation, we die at their feet without a whimper, is that it, is that all, is that fair, have we not the right to live or must we change, must we accept all others even should in doing so, we kill ourselves, then they should bow to us, they should fall at our feet, for we die so that they can live, although they could live anyway, although not in such comfort. Back to this place, this coming new Europe ,this spreading plague ,this enveloping evil, I have perhaps three miles left until the flood, three miles of barrier until we are no-more, we crowd each other, desperate to escape and still the flood, where will we run, to where, there is no-where, we have run our last, if we fall then this city has gone, fallen and not a shot fired in anger, a coalition of evil will have done what no conqueror has ever achieved, well played.

Here the last of us hold, with no help, no reinforcements, nor even the hope of, war was never declared and now need never be, we fell because we let them fool us ,let them use our sense of fair-play, our human compassion and kill us with them. Every man has the right to live, of every colour and every creed but not one amongst the other, not this muddle of madness, this wilful travesty, as they kill us we fret over their human rights, beseech ourselves for events centuries past whilst here and now they see our end, we are as mad as a march-hare, as dead as the dodo. Some say we can even now come back from this, that we can, should we vote, change history, that evil will vacate the throne at the behest of the people, has that ever been the case, has any regime fallen through the ballot or are we broken on the anvil of tyranny already.

Truth hurts, truth rips, truth destroys but truth is truth, in order to inhibit (and that is all we can do) the damage, we must throw them from their ivory towers, we must force change, we must engage the people in order to harness their power, we must give an alternative, we must protect them. If we fail, then quite simply we die, we are wiped from history and even then truth lies in the hands of the victor, so it may be that those non-whites who inherit this world, will always believe the lies made up by leftists, egalitarians and other interested groups, they may always believe that this battle is about hate, when it is not.

Non-whites are taught that it is hate we are about, that hate is the motivator, the engine, hating the invader is as natural to humankind as breathing but does not equate to hating for hates sake, hating the parasite is the nature of all animals but does not mean that, should a new host or none be found, that the animal will still hate what is after all a fellow life form, such simplistic explanations seek only to inflame hate, to augment division, to direct those with a grievance at a given target, that target whites and the west. Ask yourself this, if all non-whites returned to their ancestral homelands would you hate them, would you seek their destruction or would you treat them as you wish to be treated, I say the latter.

Then my friend you do not hate them for what they are but for what they do and that is a big difference, yet this is the hurdle, this is the stumbling block, this is the big-lie, the ultimate inhibitor, you see other influences have trained them, have brain-washed them into believing, that we hate them, that we have some kind of maniacal wish to see them gone, these influences have created, just as they have with Islam, a phoney war, a sham clash, a storm-cloud to hide behind. You see it really doesn’t matter who pays taxes, whites or non-whites the elites arrogantly believe that they can and will hang on to power regardless.

After all they have an army, a high tech arsenal and social engineering, so can we blame them, in fact to their eyes a mono-coffee coloured world presents as less of a problem and if they can annihilate religion well… We must face the fact that we all must share this planet, that each race and creed must have a place their own, that dear reader is nationalism, oh they call it hate, they dress it up to be reviled but that is all it is, if you seek to be scared, lust to be frightened investigate their ideology, my god it’ll freeze your marrow, all of us white, black, brown or yellow are at risk, all of our belief systems, our culture and for minority groups such as whites, Japanese and so forth annihilation beckons.

For now I will leave this, I am tired, I work long hours and little rest but I would like if I may, to elaborate upon weblog direction and the reasoning behind it, which will I am sure mean another long post, a post necessary for the reader. I would hope that those reading my ramblings will indeed pick up the fact that nationalism is far from the demon depicted in the media, I would hope that also an understanding of what nationalists are about may be formed, I am by no means an authority on nationalism, however, I have some knowledge and experience I believe worthy of imparting, thank you. 14

Volatile mix of jobs and race will give ministers the jitters

A politically explosive mix of unemployment and immigration figures sent a shiver of apprehension through government ministers yesterday.

With both issues right at the top of the electorate’s concerns, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) news release on levels of foreign employment was certain to raise alarm.
Only hours after British construction workers started a wildcat strike at a Nottinghamshire power station, the ONS revealed that the number of British citizens in work had fallen by 234,000 while the number of foreign workers had risen by 175,000 during the year to December. During the same period the number of workers who were born abroad rose by 214,000 while employment of British-born workers fell by 278,000. The ONS subsequently disclosed that of the 3.8 million foreign-born workers, 40 per cent are now British citizens.

It appears easy to interpret the figures as showing that foreign workers are replacing British workers.

The impression of foreigners taking British jobs was strengthened by the breakdown of figures into some national groups. Employment rates for British citizens, and those from most EU countries, America, South Africa and Australia, either fell or showed small increases. In contrast, employment rates for Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis rose by 5 per cent.

However, although the figures appear startling, the total number of foreign-born workers has increased at the same rate as employment, up by 290,000 to 5.4 million. Overall, therefore, the change is zero.

The increase in employment rates in the Pakistani-Bangladeshi communities started from a low base, with only 48 per cent now in jobs compared with almost three quarters of the population as a whole.

Many of the new workers born in the Indian sub-continent will have grown up in Britain and attended school and university here. The figures also mask the increase in employment rates among Asian women.

Although the Government has insisted on attracting primarily skilled workers vital to the economy, the ONS figures show that the biggest increase in foreign-born workers has been in the lowest-skilled occupations.

Foreign-born workers accounted for a fifth of total unskilled jobs, up from a tenth in 2001. Over the same period the proportion of foreign-born workers in full-time employment across the workforce has increased from about 8 per cent to almost 14 per cent.

Although the Government played down the significance of the foreign workers, the latest figures show that during the same period the numbers of work permits granted to people from India, Pakistan and South Africa almost doubled.

Almost 50,000 work permits were issued to people from India compared with 26,000 in 2007, according to figures released to Parliament last month. There was also a big increases for Pakistan — up 3,270 from 1,545 — and South Africa, 4,870 compared with 2,890.

The Home Office said last night that it was unable to explain the increase but changes to work permit regulations could account for some of the rise.

Tim Finch, head of migration at the Institute of Public Policy Research, said: “The figures are showing a drop in UK-born people of working age in work and a rise in foreign-born people in work. But they do not explain what lies behind the figures.”

Tony Travers, a public finance expert at the London School of Economics, said: “It is an unhelpful coincidence to publicise the statistics in this way, at this time. If it is the ONS demonstrating its new independent status it would be an awkwardly political-looking way of doing it.”

The row over the figures reflects the birth pangs of a new system of releasing official statistics intended to separate the figures from political comment. A number of rows over the release last year of crime and immigration figures highlighted how difficult it was for Whitehall and politicians to come to terms with a regime in which figures are released free from “spin”. Sir Michael Scholar, a former permanent secretary, who is now head of the statistics watchdog, attended the weekly meeting of Whitehall permanent secretaries yesterday to discuss the importance of abiding by the new regime for releasing figures.

The decision to publish a separate report on figures for “UK born and non-UK born employment” was taken by Karen Dunnell, the chief statistician, in the lead-up to the release of the unemployment figures. The ONS said that the decision was taken in reponse to public interest in the topic in an attempt to avoid any confusion. “We reviewed our previous practice given the topicality of the issue,” a spokesman said, adding: “We want to make sure the picture is clear from us.”

The ONS said that in most cases, those who wanted to find out how employment among those born in the UK and overseas had changed would have to do their own sums before the ONS estimates were published alongside the population figures. A spokesman said: “Since calculations are not straightforward, we decided to publish estimates by our standard techniques. The aim is to help public information and avoid potential confusion if alternative statistics were published.”

The ONS emphasised that the decision had not been taken lightly. “Don’t think that we did not consider very, very fully whether or not to do it,” a spokeswoman said. The ONS said that the underlying data published in the release were already published inside and outside government.

“Given the level of interest in this aspect of the labour market, and since calculations are not straightforward, we decided to publish estimates by our standard techniques,” a spokesman said. The aim is to help public information and avoid potential confusion if alternative statistics were published.”  continues here

It didn't mean that Greeks, Romans and Phoenicians had to be there

I wasn’t going to write, I have little time, what with work commitments, leaving me little time for a personal life, there are of course other reasons, my disgust at what passes for nationalism in this country, the abject depression realisation of our circumstance engenders within me and the recognition that perhaps the game is over. Unlike the new wave of nationalism sweeping its way, “It says” across this nation, I embrace race, I hold fast to what I am which in turn allows me to comprehend difference, to appreciate natures wonder just a little bit more.

I am to coin a phrase, a racialist, many reading this have been taught to react with horror, at the very notion of race, whilst I pay no heed to the “shaping” of minds and carry on independently. I suppose that an independent mind is the only freedom left, certainly all other facets of the human condition are “shaped” by exterior forces, yet for all my conceit pertaining to my independence, I am less free than the ignorant, that “can’t be bothered” majority, that have allowed our kind to die. Such people live in absolute bliss, yes they may avoid certain “dangerous” areas, demur residing in certain parts of town but for all that they are free.

I myself live with multiculturalism on a daily basis and I have had to, defend myself and others physically due to it quite often, of course large conurbations hold within them all sorts of dangers, not all of which reside within non-white communities, many whites prey upon or commit anti-group behaviours. Yet it is the abject underlying hate, instilled within non-whites by leftists that augments conflict, the same can be said pertaining to “the troubles”, a case again where perceived grievances are stoked by a terrible hand.

For totalitarianism to step in chaos must be a precursor, turmoil is always a harbinger of abject evil, yet true evil can never approach unmasked due to the risk of rejection, so it must scheme a scheme for the people to welcome the protector, the saviour. Despotism cannot arrive unless drenched in blood, soaked in the people’s pain, community set against community, individual against individual, amongst the warring throng the lefts imps play, sowing their seeds of duplicity, their sand to blur the vision.

If one were to look back, not really so very far, it is easy to see the left, these worker-ants for the malign, buzzing as bees from one organisation to the next, from one community to the other, making honey from misery. It is easy to, to glimpse the people, to read of their mighty lurch for freedom, to stand as a witness to the failure of leftist ideology, long ago before now, it was we, nothing else or very little, the left had only the worker to lie to, only the workers ear to whisper a scheme.

Oh and the worker listened, anger stirred, feet marched and blood ran, bourgeoisie hid in vain and evil came, the proletariat, as they called them, workers to me and you found no freedom, they built roads ,canals and concentration camps, many starved, cannibalism was rife and the people cried out for freedom. Here the hammer and sickle was seen on the streets and the vain, the conceited and the stupid adhered, whilst the real believers schemed. I like many others awoke to the danger, it was somewhat instinctive, it was as if it were natural to me, to contest them, to stand between them and the people, to contest their plans as god help me I still do, in these the worst of times.

I have lost much in this struggle, battled so hard, yet seemingly all for naught, still the left hold sway and the right runs in disarray or follow false doctrine, so I am left and I know some are to, to wander in the desert, to exist outside, hated by some, rejected by all. Yet I do not mind, physical attack has not cowed me nor indeed mental, it is only the direction of my people that assails the spirit, I can shake off the lies of the left, like sand on a towel, I can watch the fall of the right from my position but I suffer immensely, as my people embrace their extinction, grasp tight deaths skeletal hand and run gleefully with him to board his boat, to cross the river.

So that dear reader is why I infrequently write, why this weblog fails, quite simply because I am disheartened, I witness our doom and I am helpless, some will say leaflet, canvass, buy a T-shirt, attend a concert, yet that is all just a game, just a final show as the ship goes down. If anything we must look to the shipyards of Gdansk, we must take to the streets, the one place the people can see us, hear us, what good a leaflet, what good a vote, when the race is fixed, the winner chosen, so much time spend on the useless, whilst we expire.

I joined the BNP, it was not for me, moreover, it was not for the people, still today I receive their damned letters, their leaflets, each one a request to part with money, this as hardship shadows me and creditors knock my door. Yet for all that, they do nothing, say nothing, change nothing they have stout defenders though, individuals either blind or overriding doubt, in their desperation for survival, climbing onto any vessel to escape the treacherous sea. Perhaps they should really take a look, forget those obvious set-ups that would attack the BNP regardless of direction but perhaps they should look at their party’s direction, study it and make up their mind.

There can, to my mind, be no doubt, that certain so-called nationalists, attack the BNP just because, whereas there is a vast ocean of others, who seriously question direction, motivation, goal strategy and much more, simply because it is wrong. As I write this, we are as good as dead, we are a lost species, dodos, a subject for classroom discussion in ages to come, yet we stand idle, supporting an organisation that simply cannot deliver us. Good god if Lech Walesa had adopted BNP strategy, then Communism would still bestride Europe, still menace at our gates, rather than warping into its current guise each and all with common purpose.

Communism, Marxism, leftist thought, call it what you will, it is still with us, only it hides, it has mutated as it can, yet still it strives to enslave the people, still it desires control, above I talked of the left, how their evil little imps dance within society, delighting the stupid and marshalling the gullible, leading all to misery. Yet the left have learned, they realise that the worker will never completely kneel to them. Never completely acquiesce, never completely permit tyranny to reign, so they looked for other routes, other ways, what if they destroyed the working man, what if industry were laid waste, if homogeneity were diluted, never again would a cohesive uniform front emerge to thwart their plans, however, it is one thing altering society, destroying all unifying structures, incorporating the concept of self above that of all, however, even an altered people will resist overt oppression, so plans were hatched, lines redrawn and the left sneaked in.

Under cover of understandable grievance they plied their trade, imps danced and fools joined, soon it was incorrect to say this, behave like that, defend this or contest that, soon intellectual tyranny replaced commonsense, soon all knelt to this new correctness, this enforced set of behaviour systems. Gone workplace banter, gone friendly jokes between the races, gone the comedienne enter the trainer, now society has a correct way of functioning, “isn’t that so much better, the ways of your ancestors for millennia were wrong, let us show you the way”, and they did. Now children’s books are evil whilst “shaping” books are not, our history is imperialistic whilst leftism is not, so for our own good, they tell us who to live with, what to eat, what to watch, read, like and dislike, what to wear and how, what gadgets, possessions we must own, how to talk, on and on and so forth and we buy in.

We throw away the golliwog and buy Bratz, we complain when stuffed toys are not as brown as that depicted in a pre-school programme, whilst buying clothes that sexualise our young girls, we watch television instead of looking through the window and really seeing what the world has become, we, we, we, never us, never the group, always self. Our society is so cut-off, so isolationist, that we exist at virtually all times in our own world, we are so inept at interaction that we prefer the television or the Robinson Crusoe effect, created by the wearing of ear-phones in public. We have created so many different factions, communities and groups through enforced intermixture, that society cannot function freely, we exist in a world of mutual distrust, conflict and peril.

That is the chaos, the turmoil, the danger, if society were a cake, then it has been so divided as to be unrecognisable as a cake, moreover, if, as has been managed, society can be divided upon so many levels, if individuals can look only to self-interest, if then they can be isolated, then “shaping” is all the easier, the battle almost won. This then is a splendid victory, a rout, we are fleeing, running before them and they pick us off alone, they have learnt you see, honed their skill, hidden their intent, it is too late now, instead of an army upon the horizon, they to divided, they hid amongst the various institutions of society, “shaping” from within, there could be no warning, for all of us, we who warned , who cried the alarm, what were we but hated nationalists, ignored, disparaged and smeared.

We only wished to maintain society, to continue in freedom, proud of who and what we were, you never listened, never heeded, merely jeered, jostled and danced, now within two generations white is history, gone, finished, perhaps never to return, maybe with the advances made in science, they can raise us up again, a Lazarus for comic purpose, a dancer in an alien court. I see no victory for us, we the last of the whites, the fathers of our own demise, the last generation who could make a difference; we follow a false goal, battle the wrong foe and fail our own children. Perhaps we deserve it, this holocaust, this massacre, this end, perhaps it is simply our time, perhaps, such an ambiguous word, even in utterance it conjures chance, it raises the possibility, holds out hope, yet if we do not come out of our houses soon, leave our televisions then chance is gone, blown away by histories breath.

You know I am shouting, ranting, beseeching, do any hear, do any care, should I create a football site, more would come, in droves, comments left and common cause, yet not for survival, not for us or those to come. “Get out of the road!!” Watch the train!!” , Keep your head down!!”, what warning will you heed, what warning will you listen to, what must be said to give you pause, “They are killing us off!!”, is that enough, does that penetrate, resonate, grab your attention, draw you away from possessions, from self, perhaps.

As I stated above I am a racialist, a recogniser of difference, this is as far removed from hate as is the sun from my pocket, as a racialist I realise and recognise, that in order for continuance of all races, creeds and cultures intermixture is injurious, damaging. How this can be twisted into hate I fail to see, given that I respect all races and creeds, where I conflict I expect is at the territorial level, the real level, rather than the superficial meanderings of egalitarians. In order for all races, cultures and creeds to exist, they must as best as possible exist in a clearly defined territorial area, Mother Nature herself has set the boundaries, who then are we to change them and not only change them but persist even as we see our mistake.

In dabbling with mother natures design, we create destruction nothing more, strangely, the very people with the power to change the scenario, are the very people destined for destruction, whites, yet we, as if with Stockholm syndrome, defend our destroyers. I refer the reader to a Guardian article both here and here, the first entitled “Revealed: the rise of mixed-race Britain” the second, “21st-century Britons are no longer either black or white”. Article one begins with,
“One in 10 children in the UK now lives in a mixed-race family, a major study reveals today, raising future hopes of a non-racist Britain.”
now what this means is that, in the future there will be no whites to object, no whites left at all.

It then goes on to say,
“Mixed-race relationships are now so common that some ethnic groups - starting with African-Caribbean - will virtually disappear, the research states”,
this is cleverly worded, to the casual reader it means that Afro-Caribbean’s will die out, yet in practice Afro-Caribbean’s will still exist in countries such as Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and so on, you get the drift, whites on the other hand will have been totally replaced, eradicated. Trevor Phillips was said to, “celebrate" the study's findings, but warn that there is still much to be fought for. Imagine that, celebrating the findings, those findings being the end of whites in the UK, now I ask you, what does the Equality and Human Rights Commission, represent if not an anti-white organisation, a formation working joyously towards white eradication.

Now returning to the article, a spokeswoman had this to say,”
"We need to be alert to tensions within communities that may be exacerbated by economic downturn and to remain vigilant against discrimination and divisiveness - particularly across boundaries of faith."
Now tell me, is not the greatest discrimination the genocide of a race, the killing off of a population group and is not discrimination, the formation of a group, that not only has a chairman that welcomes such result but acts against the endangered communities interests. Now turning to the second article we see the commission again, this time hailing “the findings as evidence of the success of multicultural Britain, but says that there is more to be done”, what results are they hailing, why the fact that,
“young people are now six times as likely to be mixed-race as adults and the rate is increasing by the year”.

And they said they only came to work, to aid, to assist and that there wouldn’t be many, now we see, our end, because of it, the argument given is that they came to do the jobs we wouldn’t do, exactly the same argument now used against the poor Irish, now inundated by strangers, whilst so-called nationalist politicians call for more. Back to the article, the author of the report one Lucinda Platt, had this to say,
"There has been a dramatic shift over 10 years. What we mean when we talk about minority groups is changing.”

,yes I should imagine it is and its heading inexorably our way.

Currently Caribbean’s feel under threat, although as I noted above they still have their homeland, the writer of Elmina's Kitchen, one Kwame Kwei-Armah had this to say,
It's happening, it's going to happen, there is in my mind nothing that anyone can do about it. I lament it. I love Caribbean culture, it is my own.

"My plays come out of that sensibility and the language of it. It is everything I know as a child. Very few of the young people now actually have any real connection to the Caribbean apart from their ethnicity and notions of a Jamaican underclass. That in one respect is a big tragedy in itself."

Kwei-Armah continued: "One has no problem with black and white relationships at all. One has an issue with the statistic that shows a community that finds itself in a position of self-destruction and has not thus far shown the need to fight against that.

"An example would be, when we look at most of the Premier League footballers who are black, the overwhelming majority of them have white partners. The signals that it sends to my daughter is, 'When you're successful, you date outside your community, yet when you're not successful you date in.' You're only good for the bad end of it. What psychological effect is that having?"

Now as a racialist I feel for his community, ripped from their country by economic need, their young indoctrinated just as ours, by the media and other “shaping” organs and finally the loss of culture and race. I differ on his having” no problem with black and white relationships”, although I believe even he as a non-white individual is scared to voice truth, yet for all that he speaks the truth. Ironically his feelings of loss, sadness and inevitability have been felt by the white indigenous peoples of these isles for some time. The businessman Kenneth Olisa had this to say,
"It is a question of culture rather than race. There is no reason why people shouldn't continue to learn about Caribbean culture for generations to come. When I was at school, I studied Greek, Roman and Phoenician culture and it didn't mean that Greeks, Romans and Phoenicians had to be there."
, doesn’t that say it all, sum it up. 14

A shade different

After growing up in an environment of huge racial variety, how much, wonders Akosua Annobil-Dodoo, does skin colour dictate our choice of lover?

It came as no surprise to hear that 72 per cent of people in the UK, according to The Observer poll, have never slept with someone of a different colour; probably because I'm one of them.

I've only had two sexual partners, which is rare for a 27-year-old, especially one working in the media industry. Like me, both guys, including my current boyfriend, are black Londoners.

I've always had a preference for black men. Growing up in a house with my father and three older brothers probably did the trick. But while this inclination suits me, I never expect the same of other people.

Two of my brothers are in mixed-race relationships. One has a white girlfriend, who is due to give birth to a boy next month, and the other has an Indian wife, who is expecting their first child next spring.

Whenever I meet my siblings' new partners, the first things I study are their personalities and behaviour. Protecting my brothers from bunny-boilers is far more important than skin colour.

It doesn't surprise me that many people, according to the poll, would consider having sex with someone of another shade. Desire often takes precedence over prejudice. Maybe the delay is down to the fact that they haven't met the right people yet.

In my experience, most people who advocate same-race relationships would still sleep with someone from outside of their race.

A close friend of mine - an attractive 35-year-old single, black woman - refuses to date outside her race. She's prepared to travel as far as the Caribbean or America to find her Mr Right, and she fears that European and Asian women are, as she puts it, 'taking our men away'. Nevertheless, she also admits to fantasising about having a one-night stand with the Swedish footballer Freddie Ljungberg.

Our environment has a huge influence over who we become attracted to. Britain is one of the world's greatest cultural melting pots. With so many different races, colours, religions and ethnicities to choose from, it's inevitable that some of us will cross cultures and break family traditions when it comes to dating, sex or marriage.

Another friend is the daughter of a former British National Party member. When we were at school she was too petrified to date black guys. However, she slept with 'a handful' after her father left the BNP some years later. She eventually settled down with a white partner, while her younger sister had a child with an African immigrant in 2003.

An eccentric, but lovable, black girl I've known for 20 years has slept with a diverse range of partners, including a mixed-race hip-hop head, an African-American basketball player, an Albanian builder, and an English West Ham fan, who is the father of her four-year-old daughter. In contrast, the majority of the Muslim girls I went to school with are married to Muslim men. Most of my Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Indian peers were never allowed out after school.

Looking back, if my parents had given me the same treatment as that received by my Muslim peers, I probably wouldn't have kissed three local white boys (not on the same day of course).

My family lived on the Isle of Dogs in the heart of east London for over 30 years, until 2001. It's a close-knit community. Most of my white classmates' parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties, cousins, brothers and sisters all went to school together. Most people from the Isle of Dogs have families that have lived in the area for generations.

It's rare for them to marry outside of their community. The majority of the people from my secondary school have had children with each other; and earlier this month, a girl from my science class announced on Facebook that she'd got engaged to James, a boy I used to sit next to in form registration.

In the place where I grew up, blacks, Asians and whites are more likely to sleep with each other than with someone from outside the area. Crossing cultures is OK, but dating outside of the borough is a no-no.

Generally, blacks, Asians and whites have had more than 50 years to get to know each other. As a result, attitudes towards interracial relationships have changed and having sexual encounters with someone from another race is less of a taboo.  continues here

First public statue of black woman unveiled

England's first public statue of a black woman is due to be unveiled today at a ceremony attended by VIPs from the black community, including attorney general Baroness Scotland and Doreen Lawrence.

The Bronze Woman monument was inspired by a poem written 30 years ago by Stockwell writer CĂ©cile Nobrega, 89, celebrating the achievements of women and the contribution that Caribbean people had made to British society.

The 10ft bronze of a woman holding her child aloft was designed by the late Ian Walters, who also made the statue of Nelson Mandela in Parliament Square. continues here

Knife crime 'fuelled by brutalised refugees' from war-torn regions of Africa

Knife crime is being partly fuelled by a brutalised generation of refugee children who have come to Britain from "vicious war-torn regions" of Africa, the head of the Government's equalities watchdog has warned.

Trevor Phillips, the chairman of Commission for Equalities and Human Rights, said that one of the causes of knife crime was a lack of integration for refugee children who had witnessed untold horrors in their early lives.

He said: "There is a very specific issue for some minority communities in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds. We have had a generation of refugee children who have come from unimaginable levels of violence, absolutely terrifying situations.

"We admit them - rightly - and then we plonk them in schools and we expect behave like everyone else. You look at the names of those who are involved, they come from Congo, they come from east Africa and so on.

"I don't think anybody has been very keen on saying it. Let's recognise what it is that is making it happen. It is not the fact that they are black but the fact that they have come from vicious, wartorn regions."

The comments come amid widespread concern about knife crime. Figures earlier this summer revealed that one person is the victim of such a crime every four minutes and the Home Affairs Committee said that it will be launching an inquiry into knife crime in November.

Last year, teenage Angolan refugee Roberto Malasi was jailed for 30 years after he admitted stabbing to death an 18-year-old student and shooting dead a woman cradling a baby at a christening in a two week period.

The Old Bailey heard that the killings were the culmination of his horrific "upbringing of pitiless persecution" in Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Sir John Nutting QC, his defence lawyer, said that Malasi was influenced by witnessing scenes of daily violence in his early teens, including people being "hanged, shot and burned to death".

Campaigners welcomed the comments from Mr Phillips. Sir Andrew Green, chairman of MigrationWatch, said: "This is another courageous intervention from Trevor Phillips. If we are to tackle these problems we must have a frank analysis of where they stem from.

"The black African community now numbers 694,000 and has overtaken the black Caribbean group as a result of high net migration in recent years. This is a further consequence of our failure to control immigration."

Damian Green, the shadow immigration minister, added: "Obviously knife crime is a much wider problem than just affecting immigrant communities. But what Trevor Phillips has illustrated a wider problem with integration. As well as having no control over the numbers the Government has failed to integrate new arrivals successfully."

A spokesman from the Home Office said: "Violent crime is an extremely complex issue with many different drivers. With knife crime, we are concerned about the number of young people involved and the age of both victims and offenders." continues here

Poll reveals America is still divided over race relations as country gears up for election

Sixty per cent of black Americans think race relations are still bad in the United States more than 40 years after their struggle for equal rights gained worldwide prominence, it emerged yesterday.

The results of a poll showing America is still sharply divided by the issue came as it gears up for an election that could put the first black president into the White House.

While the majority of blacks and whites believe the country is ready for a black leader, the consensus ends there.

Each group holds vastly different views on Democratic Senator Barack Obama and the state of America's race relations.

The survey for the New York Times and television station CBS News revealed that 83 per cent of blacks had a favourable opinion of Obama, compared to just 31 per cent of white people.

Asked if race relations were generally bad, almost 60 per cent of blacks said yes, compared to 34 per cent of whites.

Those figures have not changed since a similar survey eight years ago revealed that few Americans experienced integrated workplaces and neighbourhoods or had regular contact with people from other races.

Obama, 46, the son of a black Kenyan man and white mother, has fired up an enthusiasm for politics not seen since the Sixties.

Dubbed the black John Kennedy, he faces Arizona Republican Senator John McCain in the election on November 4.

Two-thirds of all those polled said they believe America is ready for a black president and overall 31 per cent said they thought race relations would improve if Obama was elected.

But almost 40 per cent of blacks said there had been little progress in getting rid of racial discrimination in recent years, while just 17 per cent of whites agreed.

Meanwhile, just over 25 per cent of whites said too much had been made about problems facing black people, while 50 per cent of blacks said not enough had been done to bring down racial barriers. continues here

Hundreds of police set to lodge race bias claims

Hundreds of police officers are poised to mount race discrimination actions against their own forces in reaction to the case launched by Britain's most senior Asian police chief, it was reported last night.

Black and Asian staff from almost every force in the country are claiming they have been marginalised or passed over for promotion, following the example of Tarique Ghaffur, the Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner, according to a report in The Sunday Telegraph.

Mr Ghaffur has compiled a dossier of evidence that he believes proves he was discriminated against during his career in the police, including the claim that he was passed over for the post of deputy commissioner because of his race. continues here

epidemic, says Government adviser

A culture of greed and rudeness is fuelling teenage knife and gun crime, the Government's behaviour adviser has warned.

In a furious diatribe, Sir Alan Steer declared that adults are partly to blame for rising teenage violence because youngsters pick up on antisocial behaviour around them.

He attacked a growing 'greedy culture' and warned that children are copying adult hostility towards others.

Parents especially need to accept their responsibility to set a good example to their children, he said.

Sir Alan, headmaster of an East London comprehensive, spoke out as he prepares to publish proposals for improving behaviour in schools on Monday.

He is expected to say that heads and teachers need more help to deal with parents who undermine their authority and call for schools to have parent support advisers to help families enforce discipline.

Speaking ahead of the document's launch, Sir Alan said the increasing number of killings of young people was 'connected to a violent sub-culture'.

He went on: 'But we bear some responsibility. Sometimes as adults we don't model the behaviour we would want youngsters to follow. continues here

I’m afraid Sir Steer, that there is more to it than that, although it has to be said that, “a culture of greed and rudeness” is part of the problem, essentially the problem began with liberalism. The, lets all protect the human rights of the offender brigade, yet it is more than even that, the problems of which we are now having to cope, are the result of so many factors, what mainstream commentators seem to forget or refuse to acknowledge, is that it is predominantly blacks who commit this offence, that it is the negro that once again poses a threat to our way of life. It doesn’t help that our children have been fed upon a diet of violence, pumped out by a malevolent film industry, it doesn’t help that liberalist values have underpinned domestic law enforcement and it doesn’t help that this “community” have been taught to hate. Negroes are more prone to violence, more likely to pull out a knife, this has been the case since before I was born yet it is still rarely acknowledged, instead we pussyfoot around, careful not to upset a community whilst new families mourn. It is certainly the case that amongst the young of our own community, values have slipped and violence has come of age, many young whites exhibit savage behaviours and to are prone to violence, yet even when this factor is taken into account, one is still drawn to the fact that, the black community is more violence prone than any other. Until central government address all the issues correctly, until they drop liberalism and start again to protect the law abiding citizen, then this spiralling violence will continue, gang culture will continue to become endemic and more young people will lie cold in the ground. 14

Indian models rare in UK industry

23:48 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

Britain's fashion industry finds it difficult to recruit models from the Indian community because parents of Indian-origin do not approve of their children entering the glamour industry. Carole White, co-founder of a model management agency, said on the last day of the London Fashion week yesterday that parental disapproval affected recruiting models from the Indian and Pakistan communities in Britain.

White also regretted that clients such as magazines and fashion designers were reluctant to use models of Asian or Afro-Caribbean origin because of their non-white colour.

It was difficult to find work in the fashion industry for non-white models, White added. "Sadly we are in the business where you stock your shelves with what sells. According to magazines, black models don't sell. People don't tend to talk about it," White said.

Model management companies here have been reportedly told by clients that they did not want any "ethnic minority" models to work on their projects. White's comments are expected to reopen one of the most sensitive debates within the fashion industry, where the presence of racism has been a cause of fierce resentment in the past, The Independent reported today......Article conts (-)
