Leftist pap

19:47 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

It seems obvious to most, that a company or individual providing a service to the general public would need to have a rudimentary command of the English language, more especially given its this countries mother tongue, not so according to Southampton council who have threatened drivers with loss of livelihood if they display a sign indicating they speak English or indeed display a St George flag. It seems that such a move, prompted by customer complaints over the inability of some drivers to speak English, is racism, although one could argue that such leftist draconian pap is racist towards indigenous whites, although no-one seems to notice or even care. Taxi drivers accused of racism over St George stickers

So there you have it just another council demandig money with menaces (council tax) and implementing anti-white legislation, it would seem that they are quite, quite content to levy a charge upon the working population, many of whom

Teen offenders are 'young persons' not 'youths'... it might upset them, say ministers

08:10 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

It is not a word usually associated with causing offence, even when those referred to have broken the law.

But 'youth' has been banned from guidelines on the treatment of criminals aged 16 and 17 - because ministers think it is too demeaning.

Instead, offenders must be referred to as 'young persons' in the latest code for prosecutors. The newly fashionable phrase is used 101 times in the document.

The change of wording was mocked yesterday by the Tories, who described it as the 'bizarre' invention of a new taboo.

Shadow Justice Secretary Dominic Grieve added: 'Yet again, ministers have shown that they are more bothered about pandering to political correctness than coming down hard on the crime and antisocial behaviour that blights communities.'

The code for prosecutors on issuing Youth Conditional Cautions to 16- and 17-year- olds has been rewritten following a consultation over an early draft.

Officials at Jack Straw's Ministry of Justice and Ed Balls's Department of Children, Schools and Families said: 'A number of responses suggested the term "youth" had negative connotations and should be replaced by "young persons".'

Disapproval of language considered to give the wrong impression has been a hallmark of Labour's years in power.

Its Youth Justice Board has tried to prevent 'gang' in case it criminalises youngsters who gather together. It prefers crime committed by such gatherings to be described as 'group-related'.

Similarly, Scotland Yard refers to 'group rape' or 'multi-perpetrator rape' to avoid 'emotive' language.

Even prison officers have been told to observe correct priorities by addressing inmates as 'Mr'.

However, 'youth' appears likely to cling on for some time in government lingo. continues here

Germany's far right becomes internet savvy

08:23 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

The number of right-wing extremist websites in Germany is rising, with a group charged with youth protection warning that the internet has become the leading platform for right-wing extremist propaganda.

Germany's right-wing extremist scene is developing a professional, media-savvy internet presence, according to Jugendschutz.de, an internet watch group for German youth.

With 1,707 neo-Nazi websites currently available on the World Wide Web, Stefan what we need is a controversial debate to bring about more democracy on the net. We need the web community to take part in the process to get these websites shut downGlaser, who heads the watchdog, says right-wing groups have quickly learned how to use the internet to their advantage.

"They have websites which are quite modern, which are hip, which are interesting for young people. Videos and music are important factors, and they use all the common web 2.0 platforms: social networks and video platforms to put out their propaganda," he says.

One of the main problems, according to Glaser, is the level of sophistication. Colorful and subtle web portals mean that young people, the target audience, often don't know they are viewing a neo-Nazi site.

Shutting down far right

Glaser's group, an initiative funded by the Federal Agency for Civic Education (BPB) and active since 2000, works specifically to root out websites deemed to be targeting young people. Most commonly, Jugendschutz.de contacts the web provider, who can pull the offending material. If the internet portal is illegal, the watchdog passes the details on to the police, who can press charges.

Despite small successes, there are still more than 1,500 active, illegal websites and no sign that the right's internet presence is on the decline.

Thomas Krueger, the BPB's head, says more people need to get involved in fighting right-wing extremism online. "I think extremism is part of our open society and we cannot have a society without extremism, but what we need is a controversial debate to bring about more democracy on the net. We need the web community to take part in the process to get these websites shut down," he says.

In some cases internet users have managed to close down sites by bombarding them from other web portals.

Fight continues

Both the BPB and Jugendschutz.de have called for more public education, while they themselves offer workshops to teach young people how to identify right-wing extremist groups.

Jugendschutz.de can claim a measure of success. In 2008, 80 percent of German right-wing extremist online material that was liable under federal law was removed from within Germany and from websites abroad. continues here

Police investigate 'Nazi' gnome

08:16 by Editor · 1 Post a comment on AAWR

German prosecutors have launched an inquiry into whether a garden gnome with its right arm raised in a Hitler salute in a Nuremberg art gallery breaks the law.

Salutes and Nazi symbols have been illegal in Germany since the Second World War but investigators may decide the figure is in fact ridiculing the Third Reich.

Wolfgang Traeg, a spokesman for the public prosecutors office, said: "The investigation is ongoing and people are being interviewed.

"It is also a question of art a bit," he said. "It will also depend on what the artist and the owners of the gallery have to say for themselves about the whole thing." continues here

‘RACIAL’ WARNING FOR JEWELLER WHO BANNED GYPSIES FROM SHOP

08:04 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

POLICE have warned a jeweller for “racially offensive” conduct after he banned Romanian gypsies following a series of raids on his store.

Michael Plant, 62, believes the east European travellers are behind the raids in which gems are snatched while other members of the gang distract staff.

But when he placed a sign in his shop window saying that he did not serve Romanian or east European gypsies he was told by a senior police officer to take it down – or face prosecution on race-hate charges.

Police have been unable to trace the thieves.

Mr Plant, who has run his jewellery shop in Altrincham, Cheshire, with his Austrian wife Monika, 62, for 22 years said: “I’m not racist, but the fact is I have been targeted repeatedly by eastern European criminals.

“I should have a right to say which people come into my shop and not face allegations of racial discrimination.

“I should be able to choose whom I serve. That’s not just eastern Europeans – if someone comes in drunk they will not be served either.

“All I want is a commonsense approach. The police are reactive rather than proactive to crime, they wait for it to happen before they solve it, rather than the other way round.

“I think these Romanians and eastern European criminals are letting their fellow countrymen down. Obviously I don’t think all of them are bad, but how can I distinguish who is good and who is bad?

“I’ve got a foreign wife and we have foreign friends. But some people coming in to this country illegally seem to have more rights than me.”

Mr Plant made a stand after the latest theft last Saturday when a man’s gold wedding ring was stolen.

He added: “They always say they’re Spanish, but they aren’t. I speak more Spanish than them. They use distraction techniques like a child running around and they get away with your stock. One morning I lost nine bracelets, worth well into four figures.

“I think they must pass our name around because about every five or six weeks I get another group of people, sometimes with or without children.

“They come in and ask for something and we usually haven’t got it. They’re quicker than Paul Daniels.”

Following the latest incident Mr Plant called in police, then put the notice on the door on Monday. He got a warning from senior officers shortly afterwards offering him “words of advice” about the message.

He added: “This sign was written in anger after the latest robbery. I feared we would get more in that afternoon.

“I emailed the local police inspector to say what I had put up on the sign and I was told to take it down immediately.

“I’ve reported incidents to the police in the past. I’ve had several robberies over the years and the capture of criminals is very low. I bet if these people are caught for stealing, they probably wouldn’t even go into a magistrates court.

“They would just get a fixed penalty fine and that would be paid by one of the human rights organisations. The taxpayer pays for it all.”

Police said Mr Plant had fallen foul of the Race Relations Act which recognises gypsies and travellers as ethnic groups. continues here

Lawsuit: Cops' Web site is racist

08:20 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

The slogan for the popular Philadelphia police Web site domelights.com says it's "the voice of the good guys."

But some of those guys use the site as a mouthpiece for racist drivel, according to the Guardian Civic League, an organization of black Philadelphia cops that filed a federal lawsuit yesterday seeking to shut down the site and punish its users. "Guns Don't Kill People. Dangerous Minorities Do,"

"If you're a police officer, a sworn officer of the law, and you think that way toward people of color, you shouldn't be here," said Rochelle Bilal, head of the league, which joined the NAACP and other groups in the lawsuit.

In the two years her organization has been monitoring various discussion boards on the site, Bilal said she's come across hundreds of disparaging remarks about blacks made by her fellow officers.

One such statement, "Guns Don't Kill People. Dangerous Minorities Do," was posted last year, and a recent post referred to Northeast Philadelphia campers who were turned away from a Huntingdon Valley swim club as "monkeys."

According to the suit, many of the posts are made throughout the day, by on- and off-duty white officers using city computers.

"We are tired of them," Bilal said.

The city, Police Department and a slew of unidentified site users were also named as defendants.

The privately registered Web site, which has nearly 6,000 users and is not sanctioned by the city or the Police Department, has created a hostile environment for some black officers in the workplace, said Brian Mildenberg, the lawyer who filed the suit.

"[The site founder] creates this thing and it starts to go viral with white racists over the years," he said. "This is really sad."

The site, which was created in 2000, is "devoted to the abolition of political correctness through intelligent discussion and debate," according to a description listed on a domain registration site.

The lawsuit repeatedly refers to the site's founder and administrator, who uses the screen name "McQ." He is believed to be Fred McQuiggan, a Philadelphia police sergeant.

McQuiggan, 47, of Torresdale, joined the force in March 1986.

The lawsuit does not identify McQuiggan, and a person who answered a phone call from the Daily News to a number listed in that name said it was the wrong number.

Mildenberg said that responsibility for the site's content goes beyond its administrator and falls on the Police Department, which failed to act.

"They've received many complaints from the Guardian Civic League and other black groups and individuals," he said. "They have not changed the situation. This cannot go down in a police department."

Asked about the lawsuit yesterday, Commissioner Charles Ramsey said he wasn't familiar with it.

"I've never visited the site personally so I don't know what their issue is," he said on his way into a meeting at City Hall with other department officials.

He added that he had heard of the site. Asked what he had heard about it, he said: "I prefer to stick to the more traditional media outlets for my information." continues here

POLICE 'MUST RECRUIT GYPSIES'

09:49 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

POLICE forces across the country are being told to recruit gypsies in a plan that could put the public in danger, MPs warned last night.

Senior officers are so concerned about hitting the new quotas they have been inviting young travellers to their training colleges. But while gypsy and traveller groups gave a “wholehearted welcome” to the plan, political campaigners last night condemned the scheme as “utter nonsense”.

An idea of the Association of Police Authorities, called Local Employment Targets For Under-Represented Groups, the scheme says police forces have a duty to reflect the communities they serve.

But furious Conservative MP Philip Davies said: “I absolutely despair, this is utter nonsense.

“It should be irrelevant whether police officers are black, white, gay, straight, muslim or Christian, gypsy or not. The only consideration should be whether they are people who can uphold the law without fear or favour.

“Furthermore, this is potentially dangerous because police forces could end up recruiting people who might not be the best people, just to meet their quota.”

Mr Davies, who represents Shipley in West Yorkshire, added: “The police were branded institutionally racist a few years ago, now they are becoming institutionally politically correct.”

John Midgley, of the Campaign Against Political Correctness, is also astounded by the gypsies plan, dubbed “lucky heather and handcuffs” by critics.

“It is absolutely astounding that police authorities should get involved in political correctness to this degree,” he said.

“What we want is the best possible policemen, not policemen appointed by a tick-box culture.

“How ridiculous it is for them to suggest that the police force needs to be representative of the society in which we live.

“On that basis, ultimately they would want to employ criminals as police officers as a proportion of society is made up of criminals.”

Mark Wallace, campaign director of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: “People want their police to be picked because they are the best for the job, not because of their ethnicity or background.

“Victims of crime just want the criminal caught, they don’t care what ethnic group the officer comes from.”

The Police Federation, which represents 124,000 rank-and-file officers across England and Wales up to the rank of Chief Inspector, says it is concerned that recruitment standards are not lowered to make sure each force gets enough gypsies pounding the beat.

Vice-chairman Simon Reed said:
“If targets are set this must be for the right reason, not just lip-service and there must certainly be no lowering of standards by forces in order to meet them.”

However, Emma Nuttall, a spokeswoman for Friends, Families And Travellers continues here

It all seems just a tad late to me, a little late given the horse has already bolted, and as for lowering standards in order to meet targets well…
Our police force or what now passes for it has become merely a quasi-militia, an instrument of tyranny, to complain now of “institutional political correctness” for that state was reached some time ago and you all said nothing, merely allowed leftists the field and dam the wishes of the people. Blacks achieved a considerable amount by rioting if I remember, whereas non-rioting whites were pilloried, it would seem to me that whites suffer in all ways due to their lack of a voice ,be that voice political or indeed rather more militant. Mr and Mrs Average quite simply wish to live in peace, amongst their own with their own culture, whereas there are those that enforce and enforce again an unworkable agenda, why even amongst non-whites tensions exist yet we have a drive to inflict such stupidity upon the police force, I’m afraid that at one time the people respected the police however times they are a changing.

Hitler comments spur call for racing chief’s resignation

08:00 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

The World Jewish Congress called on the chief of Formula 1 racing to resign after he praised Hitler for having "gotten things done."

Bernie Ecclestone also said Saddam Hussein, the executed former dictator of Iraq, "was the only one who could control that country." He made the remarks in an interview published Saturday in the British newspaper the Times.

In response, WJC President Ronald Lauder said in a statement issued Sunday that Ecclestone was "question[ing] the basic principles of modern democracy." Lauder urged racing teams and host countries to "suspend their cooperation with Mr. Ecclestone and call for his resignation."

The British-born Ecclestone, 78, insists he was misunderstood. He told the German daily Bild Zeitung Monday that he had merely said Hitler "had effectively tackled unemployment and the economic crisis before committing his horrendous crimes."

Ecclestone added that he had many Jewish friends who would know that he would never deliberately hurt a member of a minority group.

In the Times interview, Ecclestone said: "Hitler got taken away and persuaded to do things that I have no idea whether he wanted to do or not ... [but at least] he could command a lot of people able to get things done.” He also said that Hitler "wasn’t a dictator," and reserved a few choice words for democracy, which he felt "hasn’t done a lot of good for many countries -- including [England]. I like people who make up their minds."continues here

School bans black-face Morris Men

23:43 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

A group of Morris dancers say they are "disappointed and frustrated" after performances were cancelled because they wear traditional black make-up.

Kent's Motley "Border" Morris Men follow a tradition which originated in the Welsh borders, where faces were blackened using burnt corks.

Chantry Primary School in Gravesend is one of three event organisers which have cancelled perfomances this year.

The school said it had to weigh up any potential offence to its community.

The Motley Morris Men's Squire, Pete Hargreaves, said it was clear from its website that the dancers wear black make-up.

"It is the third event this year that we have had cancelled," he said.

"We get to the point where everything is set up and then they suddenly realise that we are a black-face Border group.

"They say people might be offended without investigating why we dance with black faces."

Danced for money

The group was formed in 1981, but said this was the first year bookings had been cancelled.

Blackened faces are believed to have been used originally as a disguise by Morris men who danced for money and did not want to be recognised.

Morris dancer Jim Snelling said: "I understand the school's concern but it is a shame they didn't take the opportunity to find out or ask us along to have a discussion about this fairly important part of our culture."

Head teacher of Chantry Primary, Hazel King, said it apologised for any inconvenience caused to the Morris Men.

"We organised the event to bring a diverse and fragile community together," she said.

"To celebrate all cultures we booked a Morris troupe, having failed to recognise the possible significance for our community of their tradition to perform with blackened faces. continues here

Visitors to World War Two-themed weekend banned from wearing Hitler costumes

11:29 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

Visitors to a railway attraction's Second World War-themed weekend were banned from dressing up as Hitler or SS officers.

They were invited to don 1940s-style clothes, both British and German, for Severn Valley Railway's re-enactment yesterday and today.

But the Swastika, Nazi uniforms and Hitler impersonations were barred from the popular tourist draw in Worcestershire because organisers feared they would cause offence.continues here

You have to question who complained, who was it that felt aggrieved visiting an event, where the participates were in all likelihood to be wearing “Nazi”, (sic) uniform, what next, will plays be banned if they portray WW11 soldiers, will feature films merely allude to an enemy, let the audience guess as to their attire ,for fear of offence. I’m afraid it is an attack, leftists rule the roost I am afraid and they will censor, disparage and attack any and all “nationalistic” imagery, organisations or individuals and have no doubt, WW11 German soldiers, unlike our own, fought for a nationalist interest.

There are still today unanswered questions as to the purported holocaust, questions that they, in their wisdom, markedly fail to answer, to my mind it seems that nationalistic forces in any era are to be vilified, condemned, hated, yet leftist inspired murderers are seen as heroes. In that regrettable war, in that contrived event to seize control, atrocities were committed on all sides, Russian soldiers raped their way to wars end and we slaughtered civilians, attacking non-combat targets to weaken German morale, oh it was more than mere bombs we burned them alive, created a terrifying firestorm incinerating the innocent where they stood.

I should imagine though that such uniforms are worn at re-enactment events, that nothing is said and if it is it is ignored, so I would ask of you dear reader, do not believe the hype, close your ears to their propaganda and continue on to a hoped for victory. Today that have us, hold us fast by the hair of our heads, tomorrow belongs to some-one, I pray it is us.

Don't say 'blind as a bat', diversity guide warns police

07:53 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

Thousands of police officers have been issued with a 140-page 'diversity handbook' containing tips such as 'Don't lean on a disabled person's wheelchair'.

The guide points out that it is unhelpful for officers to cover their mouths when talking to somebody who is lip-reading, and suggests the phrase 'blind as a bat' may cause offence.

The Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland spent almost £5,000 on the project, consulting 75 different groups before handing out 7,000 copies of the booklet to all Scottish police forces.

But frontline officers dismissed the book as patronising and pointless, claiming money was being wasted on stating the obvious in the name of political correctness.

The pocket- sized book includes advice such as: 'Do not lean on a person's wheelchair. It is part of their body space and may move.'

When dealing with a member of the public with a facial disfigurement, it tells officers: 'Do not ask what happened to them.

'Do not stare. Hide any feelings of awkwardness and ignore any curiosities you may have.'

The book also points out that cheery traditional greetings such as 'hen', 'pet', 'love' and 'my dear' should never be addressed to a woman, the guide

And officers are reminded that a woman who is provocatively dressed and 'paying attention to passing vehicles' may not necessarily be a prostitute.

Last night Calum Steele of the Scottish Police Federation said the guide was 'an easy target for the anti-political correctness brigade'.

One serving police officer, who asked not to be named, told the Mail: 'In all my years of policing I've never seen a colleague leaning on somebody's wheelchair, or moving their walking stick without asking.

'Do we really need a 140-page booklet to tell us how to spot a prostitute, or not to describe a member of the public as "blind as a bat"?

'Give us some credit, for heaven's sake.'

Ian Latimer, chief executive of Northern Constabulary, defended the guide. 'Officers have to make decisions and take action in a variety of situations, therefore it is imperative we enhance their knowledge and understanding,' he said.  continues here

Police close in on race hate duo

21:50 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

POLICE in Hull say they are close to winning an extradition battle to bring two men back from America wanted for distributing racist material.

Simon Sheppard and Stephen Whittle fled the country last summer after been found guilty of numerous race-hate offences.

The trial at Leeds Crown Court came after Sheppard's flat in the Avenues area of the city was raided in 2005.

But now, as a judge is set to sentence them in their absence on Monday, Special Branch officers believe they are closer than ever to getting the pair back into the country to face justice.

Adil Kahn, head of diversity and community cohesion for Humberside Police, said: "I think it is a question of when not if for their return to the UK.

"This has been a lengthy operation, but will on Monday, if the judge decides to sentence them in their absence, be closer to conclusion.

"The US authorities have been great, but we have had to go through the due process. Sheppard and Whittle will be here to face justice for their victims and for the hard work of all the officers involved in this case."

Sheppard, 51, was found guilty of 16 race hate crimes, 11 in July 2008 and five in January 09. Whittle, 41, was found guilty of five race hate crimes in July 2008.

Sheppard, who boasts on his website about being banned from every library in Hull, was convicted for a series of charges relating to publishing racially inflammatory material, distributing racially inflammatory material or possessing racially inflammatory material with a view to distribution under the Public Order Act 1986.

He had been responsible for a website containing anti-semetic views. He also published and distributed a leaflet likening notorious Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz to a holiday resort.

The investigation began when a complaint about a leaflet called Tales Of The Holohoax was reported to police in 2004 after being pushed through the door of a Blackpool synagogue.

It was traced back to a post office box in Hull registered to Sheppard.

A lengthy police operation took place, with several forces across the country working together.

The pair, who have began calling themselves the Heretical Two, after the racist website Sheppard presided over, disappeared to Ireland, then flew to Los Angeles International Airport and surrendered to officials claiming political asylum.

They are currently being held under the Department of Homeland Security at Santa Ana Jail.  continues here

Sir David Jason forced to say sorry after making a 'racist' joke on live radio

23:10 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

Del Boy might have got away with it simply by saying he had been a bit of a plonker.

Sir David Jason, however, found himself with a little more explaining to do after making a joke about Pakistanis on a live radio show.

Today the award-winning actor was accused of making 'inappropriate remarks' and being 'out of touch with reality' after making the blunder on Christian O'Connnell's Breakfast Show.

The 69-year-old star, who might be expected to be a bit less gaffe-prone than his Only Fools and Horses alter ego, was on the 'Who's Calling Christian' feature - where celebrities ring Absolute Radio with a chance to win £20,000 for charity.

His gaffe came when he was asked to leave a question for the next guest.

The Touch of Frost star replied: 'What do you call a Pakistani cloakroom attendant?'

Following a brief pause, he then delivered the punch line: 'Me hat, me coat.'

There was a stunned silence from presenter Christian O'Connell and Jason hastily added a genuine question about Ronnie Barker's early career.

No apology was given on air following the gaffe at 8am on Tuesday and the joke was swiftly edited out of the show's podcast posted on the radio's internet site.

Tonight the joke was greeted with dismay by director of media watchdog Mediawatch John Beyer, who said there was no place for such insensitive humour on air.

He said: 'It was an inappropriate comment, although I do not think it was meant in an offensive way. People are increasingly concerned about language on radio and television.

'Everyone is much more sensitive about racialist terms or terms that show carelessness or disrespect.

'People in the media need to learn the lesson that these kind of jokes are not appreciated any more.'

Mohammed Shafiq, of Muslim charity the Ramadhan Foundation, branded the comments inappropriate and out of touch with reality.

Mr Shafiq said: 'These are inappropriate remarks about a stereotype that may have held a little water in the 50's and 60's but is not true to today.

'David Jason needs to reflect on this and learn about the wealth of jobs held by Muslims.

'As a well known and well-loved actor he needs to be careful about what he says. He should've known better.'

Meanwhile stunned listener Oliver Rees, 25, of Stoke Newington, London, said he was shocked when he heard the blunder broadcast live.

Hair dresser Oliver said: 'We've all grown up with David Jason on TV. He's part of everyone's family. I never thought he would say something racist.

'It was so disappointing to hear him come out with such a tasteless and inappropriate comment.

'He should apologise for being such a plonker. Even Rodney would be ashamed.'

As for Jason, one of Britain's best-loved actors, a spokeswoman said he had been taken aback to learn that he had caused offence and was 'sorry' to have upset anyone.

'As far as he's concerned he made a joke which he thought was quite funny and he did not perceive it as a racist anymore than if it had been about an English person or a Scottish person.

'He's distressed that it upset people and is really sorry if it did.'

A spokeswoman for Absolute Radio said there had been no complaints to the station from listeners.

She said O'Connell tried to distance himself from the joke on air by saying 'no more jokes like that' after Jason's jibe.

Last night Britain's first Muslim minister Shahid Malik, who is of Pakistani origin said he was surprised anybody had found the joke racist.

'It really is a storm in a tea cup,' he said. 'Firstly it's not funny, secondly it's unfortunate because Mahatma Gandhi was Indian, and I don't perceive it as racist.

'I'm a big fan of David Jason. The only thing is he's let me down because it's not very funny.'

A radio spokesman said: 'The comments made by David Jason were unacceptable and Christian O’Connell distanced himself from them live on-air by swiftly saying, “no more jokes like that”.

'To minimise any offence amongst our listeners we also edited the comments from the Breakfast Show podcast.

'We consider the views of our listeners to be very important and have received no complaints about these comments.'  continues here

Axe falls on St George: Parade is halted after council says it attracts racist thugs

07:44 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

England's biggest St George's Day parade is facing the axe after councillors said many of those attending it were racist.

For the last decade up to 15,000 have assembled in the town of West Bromwich under the slogan 'Forever England, For Everyone'.

Children and parents from all over the country parade through the Black Country town waving St George flags and marching to rousing anthems such as Jerusalem.

Organisers say one of the aims is to reclaim the Saint George Cross from Right-wingers and make it a source of pride for all.

But last night the local council, Labour-controlled Sandwell, voted to withdraw its support for the parade. Funds will go to support a Party in the Park instead.

It leaves parade organisers with what they say is the impossible task of raising £10,000 to cover their costs with only a few weeks to go.

In a letter to the organisers, one councillor, Yvonne Davies, said the parade created an 'unhealthy atmosphere' and inspired young boys to be racist.

She wrote: 'It is not only the parade which is the problem, but the tribal excitement it creates.'

The West Bromwich St George's Day parade started in 1998 and began as a fairly modest affair with 5,000 turning up. Now three times that attend the two-mile parade in April. Fire Service and Scout Association bands have played, the British Legion lends its support and each year ex-servicemen attend.

A volunteer dresses up as St George and rides with the marchers, children paint their faces with the St George Cross and there are activities such as medieval jousting.

There have been some problems - last year organisers had to clamp down on drinking in the street and a band with hard-Right roots joined in without their permission.

Councillor Davies wrote in her letter: 'I am sure most are very respectful and law-abiding, however some are distasteful in the extreme and wish to divide and separate people from each other.'

She said she had once been abused by youths who 'had been emboldened by the parade and thought racist chants were funny'.

'I have seen first hand how the parade (albeit unintentionally) creates an unhealthy atmosphere.'

At a meeting of Sandwell council cabinet last night, her colleagues sided with her and decided against backing the parade. Instead there will be the Party in the Park, a concert in the Town Hall and St George Flags will be flown on all of the council's buildings.

Trevor Collins of the Stone Cross Saint George Association, which organises the parade, said: 'To suggest the parade is racist is ridiculous and offensive. When you see the kids, the dogs, everyone out having fun, it's really a beautiful sight. It doesn't matter if you're black, white, green, brown or whatever, everyone's welcome.

'The council's decision means we have to foot the bills for insurance and security. We've got to come up with £10,000 in two months which seems impossible.' continues here

School choir forced to pull out of Christmas concert as carols were 'too religious'

07:48 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

A school choir was forced to withdraw from a Christmas event because organisers branded its carols 'too religious'.

Around 60 children aged between seven and 11 had spent six weeks practising favourites including Once In Royal David's City and Silent Night for the Corringham Winter Festival.

But they were let down at the last minute when their headteacher was informed their programme did not 'dovetail' with the festival's theme.

The event ended up going ahead last week with non-religious music and displays from an Irish school of dancing and performing arts students.

The snub was widely criticised by furious parents and religious leaders who accused the organisers of pandering to the politically correct brigade.

Nicola Hales, 36, whose nine-year-old daughter Rhiannon goes to Arthur Bugler County Junior School in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex, said: 'They must have been practising for about six weeks.

'All the programmes had gone out with the school's name on it but we got a newsletter home saying sorry for the confusion. I heard it was because the songs were too religious.

'It's ridiculous that you can't sing religious songs. It's Christmas - when can you sing them?'

Another parent, who delined to be named, said: 'The school was advised by the organisers that the carols they had chosen were not suitable because they were deemed to have a religious theme. The kids were really disappointed.

'I can't see how the Christmas carols they were going to sing would have been offensive to anyone.'

The Prayer Book Society, said 'winter festivals' were threatening traditional Christmas celebrations.

Chairman Prudence Dailey added: 'These politically correct winter festivals seek to make Christmas part of a 'multi-faith' mix and hark back to pagan winter solstice observance.

'They see Christmas as merely a local seasonal event and miss its central religious significance at the heart of national identity.

'Perhaps organisers would benefit from reading the Book of Common Prayer and discovering what winter festivities are in fact about.'

Father David Rollins, of St John the Evangelist Church in Corringham, added: 'It's rather disappointing. Christmas is a major Christian event.'

The school's headteacher, Sue Morris, said pupils had taken part in 'a great deal of rehearsal' before they were informed the songs 'would not have dovetailed into the event's theme'.

'There was no time to reorganise the choir's planned programme and we thought it best we did not take part,' she added.

The non-religious event was planned by Corringham Town Festival Partnership, even though the area is in Thurrock, where 75 per cent of the population described themselves as Christian in the 2001 census.

The next biggest religious group was Muslims, who make up one per cent of the population, followed by Sikhs, who account for barely half of one per cent of residents.

A spokesman for Thurrock Islamic Education and Cultural Association said: 'I don't think any Muslims would be offended by carols.'

There has been growing concern in recent years at the burgeoning politically correct attitude to Christmas because of concerns that people of other faiths will be offended or feel excluded.

Councils have started celebrating winter festivals or wintervals, businesses are banning staff from putting up Christmas decorations and there is a thriving industry for cards with non-religious themes. continues here

Cop forced to quit over BNP badge

07:48 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

A POLICEMAN has been forced to resign after wearing a British National Party badge at an England football match.

Stuart Janaway, 36, wore the badge while off duty at a game against Hungary at Old Trafford two years ago.

He had also worn it at a charity England versus `the rest of the world' celebrity match held a few days earlier at the same ground.

An investigation began after Greater Manchester Police received information that Mr Janaway had items relating to the extreme right-wing party at his home. Badges were recovered after a search of his house and photographs showed him wearing them at the matches. A misconduct hearing into claims that Mr Janaway was wearing an `inappropriate' badge while off duty was held last week.

Following the hearing he was asked to resign and did so.

Mr Janaway, of Rixtonleys Drive, Irlam, had served in GMP for 14 years and worked as a Pc based at Longsight. He joined the police after first training to be a priest.

A police spokesman said there was no evidence that he was a member of the BNP.

Acting Assistant Chief Constable Terry Sweeney, head of the Professional Standards Branch, said: "The Chief Constable's Order of 2004 makes it clear officers are banned from being members of the BNP. This requirement extends into the private lives of officers.

"All officers and staff are aware that non-compliance will likely result in dismissal. The officer failed to live up to the high standards we demand."

One source said: "The swiftness with which this matter was dealt with indicates that GMP will not tolerate such breach of police regulations."  continues here

The phrase Old Masters is sexist, authors and students are told

13:13 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

Students and academics are being banned from using the term "Old Masters" and "seminal" because of claims they are sexist.

Publishers and universities are outlawing dozens of seemingly innocuous words in case they cause offence.

Banned phrases on the list, which was originally drawn up by sociologists, include Old Masters, which has been used for centuries to refer to great painters - almost all of whom were in fact male.

It is claimed that the term discriminates against women and should be replaced by "classic artists".

The list of banned words was written by the British Sociological Association, whose members include dozens of professors, lecturers and researchers.

The list of allegedly racist words includes immigrants, developing nations and black, while so-called "disablist" terms include patient, the elderly and special needs.

It comes after one council outlawed the allegedly sexist phrase "man on the street", and another banned staff from saying "brainstorm" in case it offended people with epilepsy.

However the list of "sensitive" language is said by critics to amount to unwarranted censorship and wrongly assume that people are offended by words that have been in use for years.

Prof Frank Furedi, a sociologist at the University of Kent, said he was shocked when he saw the extent of the list and how readily academics had accepted it.

"I was genuinely taken aback when I discovered that the term 'Chinese Whisper' was offensive because of its apparently racist connotations. I was moved to despair when I found out that one of my favourite words, 'civilised', ought not be used by a culturally sensitive author because of its alleged racist implications."

Prof Furedi said that censorship is about the "policing of moral behaviour" by an army of campaign groups, teachers and media organisations who are on a "crusade" to ban certain words and promote their own politically correct alternatives.

He said people should see the efforts to ban certain words as the "coercive regulation" of everyday language and the "closing down of discussions" rather than positive attempts to protect vulnerable groups from offence.

The list of banned words is now sent out to prospective authors by Policy Press, a publisher of social science books and journals based at the University of Bristol, but is also used in many academic institutions.

The University of Bristol's School for Policy Studies recommends the guidelines to help students "challenge heterosexist assumptions", and they are included in a "toolkit" to combat institutional racism included on the University of Leeds' website.

King's College London says they "may provide a good starting point" and Liverpool John Moores University provides a link to them in its students' guide. The Open University said they are an "appropriate source of reference and advice" for students.

Napier University in Edinburgh says the list is "well worth looking at" while the University of East London advises its students they should "attempt to incorporate" it.

Even a secondary school in Norwich includes a link to the list on its website, with the statement: "Students may care to consider how far we inadvertently reproduce inaccurate sexist assumptions in the language we use, both written and spoken."

The list of racist terms features black, which "can be used in a racist sense" and should be changed to "black peoples" or "black communities".

Immigrants is said to have "racist overtones" because of its association with "immigration legislation", while developing nations - intended as a more sensitive replacement for Third World - is "prejudical" because it implies a comparison with developed countries.

Although not included on the Policy Press list, the BSA warns authors against using civilisation because of its "racist overtones that derive from a colonialist perception of the world".

Among the "sexist" terms to be avoided are "seminal" and "disseminate" because they are derived from the word semen and supposedly imply a male-dominated view of the world. continues here

Control words and you go some way in controlling thoughts, omit certain words or “correct” certain phrases and the oppressor exercises some control over the group, they are able to engineer a situation, whereby the populace are kept in line by self-censorship or fear of in-group disapproval. Censorship of expression does indeed change societal norms however, it is foolish to believe that natural feelings simply vanish, instead individuals within the main body of the group, feel disconnected they feel alone, they believe often quite wrongly, that their thoughts and feelings are not shared by the group as a whole.

In this way, a manipulative minority can and do, exercise complete control over a majority group, yet those perfectly natural thoughts and feelings are still there, albeit, that they are suppressed, so the manipulators, the social engineers must usher in evermore draconian measures, in order to forestall, the target groups collective realisation of the widespread believe in pro-group thought. Even this isn’t enough of course, it isn’t enough, that the reprehensible left use the plight of the disabled, the ill, whilst creating unnecessary and enormous friction between the sexes, it isn’t enough that they preach hate by proxy to non-whites.

No, should the targeted group, specifically whites, form social structures or counter-orthodoxy groups, based upon the aforementioned collective realisation then they are denied a platform, not because they are hateful per se but because, it may lead to a more widespread adaptation of “normal” thinking. Of course, the penultimate ploy is to paint such thinking, “nationalism” as evil, to ferment this quite erroneous thought within the population at large, this of course leads to degradation in numbers, of those brave souls willing to take a stand.

Another downside, is that such a negative and dishonest portrayal of nationalism, attracts the wrong sort, those attracted to the “bad boy” image or those seeking release in an anti-group fashion, in essence, nationalism as a force, is utterly and comprehensively destroyed as a true counter-orthodoxy movement, permitting the state and the manipulators of it, free reign. Yet the most important thing to take from this, has already been stated in the first paragraph, namely that innate feelings still exist, suppressed though they may be, individuals are still tied to nature, rather than the artificial bonds set around them by social engineers.

Eric Blair had it quite right, as we now know, when he penned Nineteen Eighty-Four and Animal Farm, as a man of the left, he would know more than most, the machinations indulged in by leftists and egalitarians, his depiction of politicised and limiting Newspeak being particularly of note. Yet this ill-hidden repression must continue, it must out of necessity, for them, be perpetual, an on-going oppression of thought and belief and the continuing lie of egalitarianism.

Some are led to believe that the masses, the indigenous body politic, will arise as one against this oppression, should it continue to show its hand, my experience has a different tale, the mutterers will mutter, the shouters will rail and nationalists will again be steeled, yet the masses shall carry on as ever and the merry-go-round shall continue. Whites will dance with desire and dice with death, until a skeletal hand claims them, before this an awakening may occur, yet too late, the call echoed for us long ago.

Oh they can be broken, these leftist rats can be sent scurrying, tail between legs and squealing, it is time that is our enemy, time that seals our fate, marks us for disaster and binds us to extinction. We have not the time, nor yet true nationalism, you see first, we must break this hold, this hold upon free will, we must again speak freely, unconcernedly, unrestrained, then we must regain academia, the arts, and so much more, then and there, we should present our case to the world, as free men, as free nations.

We must present the true humanity of nationalism, not the ignoble fraud presented by the owned media, the fake nationalism that attracts the misfit but true nationalism, perhaps the only ideology that has chance to heal this world. So much to do, so many bonds to break, yet no time at all, racial consciousness has fled, bleeding, whilst the nationalism presented, at least here in this country, will not help us, not unless, we seek the end of Islam and not its return to the land of its origin.

An aim counter to nationalism, nationalism is simply the believe that all should live in their natural milieu, that all cultures, creeds and races are valid entities in their own right and all should be protected. In this light the exploitation of Africa would cease, as would the exploitation of Europe, the unnecessary wars in the east would end in good time and peace would reign. Yet egalitarians work counter to this aim, leftists seek its demise but I ask what is so wrong with it, what is wrong with nature, surely not even a fool would believe that current thinking makes for a happy planet.

If Muslims are offended in the west, then they must realise it is the west, for all its faults and leave us, in a stroke end of conflict, if non-whites en-masse feel strangers in our lands, alien, it is because they are, yet they remain as their lands have nothing. So we must break the grip of big business, which works for profit and profit alone, whilst exploiting lands and peoples. For the Dark Continent, we have millions trained and schooled in the west, who would use such education to build up their countries to fit standard, instead of throwing money at the problem we would throw physical help in the return of their people.

Again leftists contest nationalism, whilst dressing in the fake clothes of humanitarianism, what good is it to continually throw money at a problem, when big business exploits, despots rule and children starve, surely a building up of infrastructure, is the way forward. Yes it is true, that Africa and other non-white nations are not of our concern and yes, we seek a return of non-whites home, however, in the short term we would aid such nations, one by the return of their western educated peoples and two with some material aid.

At some point though, we would adhere to nationalist thinking that is to say, that each nation should be autonomous, homogenous and separate, retaining culture, gene-pool and creed, for the people in the people’s interest. Above all, the enforced amalgamation of the races must stop and whilst mutual respect would be shown to all, territorial and national character would never be infringed. So we all gain, the dark continent advances, quality of live improves, the east are not besieged and the west returns to normal.

Sadly though there is no time, nationalism lies fractured, our people wallow in guilt, adoring self, whilst the left hold them in their tenacious grip, Africa screams, the east explodes and the money-men laugh. Gain for an elite, whilst the earth writhes in pain, so this control of language, this censorship of expression will continue, there will be no protestation, none that is, that will make a difference, just the slow death of the white man and the planned subjugation of the earth, to the power of the money-men. 14

Binmen spark outrage by taping giant golliwog to the front of their truck

11:14 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

Binmen who drove round with a large golliwog mascot strapped to the front of their truck have outraged residents.

But passersby in the town, which has residents of many different racial origins, were horrified by the prank - one said the council workers were smiling and laughing at the reactions the lorry invited.

The refuse truck was owned by Woodend Municipal Services - but leased to Reading Borough Council, whose staff used it to collect rubbish from the streets of the Berkshire town.

Local resident Tim Rhodes said that he was shocked when he saw the bin lorry driving towards him in the town centre's Milford Road.

'My reaction was one of complete shock and disbelief. It is the sort of thing you would see in the 1960s but I thought we had all grown up a bit now,' said 40-year-old Mr Rhodes.

'I saw the truck driving towards me and thought it was really bizarre.

'The workers in the cab were smiling about it - they all thought it was really funny. You would have thought someone would have warned them that it just wasn't appropriate.

'The thing that struck me about it was the size of it - it was massive at least 2.5 feet tall. I am amazed.'

The salesman spotted the vehicle at around midday Thursday.

A spokesman for Reading Borough Council apologised for the golliwog incident and said action was being taken against the binmen involved.

'The council has investigated this matter and spoken to the lorry driver,' he said.

'The employee has been informed of the serious nature of this complaint and his management colleagues are giving further consideration to how the matter will proceed.

'In its role as an employer and a provider of public services in Reading, the council has a responsibility to directly and consistently tackle exclusion, disadvantage and discrimination.

'Reading is an international community and the council celebrates its rich diversity and cultural heritage, working vigorously to combat all forms of discrimination and injustice' continues here

I am glad Reading Borough Council is, “working vigorously to combat all forms of discrimination and injustice”, I mean it’s just not on, treating golliwogs in this way, strapping them to vehicles, they could get hurt. What about their “human rights”……… oh, yes, well now that I know that, I err, retract the above statement, it’s a cuddly toy, people will be harassed and pilloried for selling them, or even displaying them next, oh, they already have been, its not surprising really in this Marxist utopia, I’ve yet to see what all the fuss is about, concerning these cuddly toys, unless, no, are Reading Borough Council endeavouring to say, albeit in a coded way, that golliwogs look like negroes.

Because that would be quite wrong, they are completely unarmed for starters, perhaps the bin-men ought to have placed Noddy on their truck, a reasonably white cuddly toy, no politically incorrect laws breached then, whites can be pilloried, denigrated and ethnically cleansed, so I’m fairly certain, that tying a white cuddly toy to a truck, would be inoffensive, I’m sure people such as Tim Rhodes, who appears to have nothing much to do, except complain about trivial matters, rather than speaking out about, negro gun-crime or the grooming of white school-girls by asian paedophiles, would find it perfectly okay, the mind boggles. 14

Harriet Harman unruffled as her Equality Bill is met with pride . . . and prejudice

07:50 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

I have ever seen her as she unveiled her beloved Equality Bill. She’s on her white horse (make that a mare) and she’s going to shake things up. Young and old, black and white, female and male. We’ll all be better off in Harriet’s brave new world.

At times, she actually glowed. This was too much for the renegade Tories. “Disgusting!” they shouted as she told us why it can be right positively to discriminate. “Outrageous!” Harriet took that as a compliment. She has been called many names, for her painfully earnest brand of feminism drives many to distraction, but never anything as exciting as outrageous. She glowed even more. She told us that she is tackling “Sexism in the City”. For Harriet, this was positively risquĂ©.

Philip Davies is head of the renegades known, on the Tory back benches, as the Taleban Tendency. Yesterday he was beside himself. “This Bill has nothing to do with equality! This is the most politically correct Bill ever from the most politically correct minister that this country has ever seen.”

Harriet blushed. So many compliments! Mr Davies kept on ranting. “This reintroduces discrimination into the workplace. How many of her colleagues - hand-wringing white male colleagues - have offered to give up their seats in this House to make way for more women and more ethnic minorities?”

A Labour backbencher shouted: “You’re in the Stone Age!” Actually I think Mr Davies took that as a compliment. The sisterhood was out in force. Patricia “Patsy” Hewitt said what was needed now was a European equality directive. At this Philip Davies’s body contorted and sprang involuntarily into the air. (“He’s frothing at the mouth!” cried one Labour MP).

Harriet thanked Patsy and told her she was wonderful. “Her comment today reminds me of happy days when she was director of Liberty and I was the legal officer and we were together on the women’s rights committee,” trilled Harriet as Patsy glowed. John Bercow, a Tory fan of hers (yes, they do exist), heaped praise on the plan. Harriet praised his praise. “He is proof that not all on his side are still stuck in a Stone Age. And also, from what he said, I would say - although I would have to reflect on this with my colleagues - perhaps he ought to be regarded as an honorary member of the sisterhood!” Now Bercow was glowing. This was getting ridiculous. continues here

Children under eight banned from competitive football - because it's too stressful

07:34 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

Children under the age of eight have been banned from playing in football leagues and cups amid fears they are under too much pressure from competitive parents.

Youngsters can still play matches but results must be kept private and no league tables can be compiled, according to the ruling from the Football Association.

And they should not compete in knockout tournaments where trophies or medals are at stake as FA officials fear the pressure could be too great.

The move - due to be enforced when the new season starts in September - is aimed at protecting children from pushy parents and aggressive coaches on the touchline, and from peer pressure and bullying.

But junior league organisers argue it is essential that youngsters learn about winning and losing.

Kevin Warrington, whose undereights team finished bottom of their league in Hampshire last season, said: 'If you look at our results we only won one game and we lost one of our first games 21-0.

'But the boys were playing together as a team, they were making new friends and enjoying the environment in which they Its support there fell so low yesterday, it risked being beaten into fourth place by the Greens. In 2005, Labour gained a 15 per cent share in the safe Tory seat.

A poll this week found 74 per cent of voters think Mr Brown has been worse than Tony Blair. Just 24 per cent think Labour can win the next election under him.

Shadow ministers say that with the Tories 20 points ahead, they can afford to 'take the heat off' Mr Brown and generate positive enthusiasm for Tory policies.

'David has got the measure of Brown,' said one. 'Why would we risk going up against someone who's as easy in their own skin and as persuasive and charming as Alan Johnson instead?'

Mr Cameron surprised observers by appearing to pull his were doing that. They didn't care if they lost.'

Graham Spencer, secretary of Colden Common youth football club near Winchester, Hampshire, added: 'I am not sure how you can actually play football non-competitively.'

But an FA spokesman insisted under-eights were too young for leagues and trophies.

He added: 'We are trying to create an environment where children can develop their skills and enjoy the game without the pressure of having to get a result week in, week out. continues here
