Riot police break up Hungarian neo-Nazi group meeting

BUDAPEST (JTA) -- Police in riot gear broke up a recruiting meeting of the outlawed neo-Nazi Hungarian Guard.

Some 50 uniformed guardsmen were on hand last Friday at a beer hall at Csepel, a poor industrial suburb of the Hungarian capital, when some 200 police arrived to break up the meeting to launch a national recruitment campaign.

The commander of the Guard called for reinforcement, and some 400 guardsmen were rushed to the scene, but diplomatic bargaining ended the confrontation. Police made three arrests.

A landmark court ruling earlier this year banned the paramilitary Guard, the private army of the extreme nationalist Jobbik Party. The Guard displays the colors and marches to the tunes of the defunct Arrow Cross, a Hungarian movement that murdered thousands of Jews, Gypsies and political dissidents during the Holocaust. The ruling also banned the uniform.

Csepel council members are organizing an all-party motion to reinforce an earlier local government decision declaring the Guard “unwelcome” in the district. This follows a brawl last week at Sajobabony in the impoverished northeast of Hungary where hundreds of Guardsmen and their supporters clashed with Gypsy residents outraged by racist attitudes expressed at a Jobbik public meeting. continues here

Organised Gang Bringing Roma Beggars?

Police in Romania have searched homes and detained 12 people on suspicion of systematically bringing Roma beggars to Finland.

Finnish and Romanian officials have been working together since last summer to confirm suspicions that organised crime lies behind the steady flow of members of the EU state's Roma minority onto Finnish city streets.

In late October, Helsinki city officials began dismantling illegal shanty and tent camps built by Romanian beggars.continues here

Former Kouvola Mayor Questioned for Links with Illegal Immigration

Police suspect the former mayor of Kouvola, Aimo Ahti, of being involved in obtaining residence permits on false pretences. The suspicions are linked to Wednesday's raids on several Chinese sites in the city, including the Nordic China Center.

The Border Guard suspects that Ahti collaborated with criminals organising illegal immigration for Chinese nationals wanting to get to into Europe through Finland in August of 2008.

Ahti says it's possible his signature was forged.

Ahti and the director of a business promotions agency Yritysmagneetti, Sirkku Seila, say they have signed dozens of visa invitations for Chinese visitors. Seila, who was contacted in Moscow, says she was shocked by the news. She has not been contacted by police. continues here

Denmark offers immigrants £12,000 to return home

Denmark has increased by tenfold the amount of money offered to immigrants who return home permanently to 100,000 kroner (£12,000), officials said on Monday

The centre-Right minority government reached an agreement with its key ally, the far-Right Danish People's Party (DPP), on the issue late on Sunday as part of their 2010 budget negotiations.

A financial incentive of 11,000 kroner had until now been offered to immigrants to resettle in their country of origin.

The scheme is aimed at immigrants from outside the European Union and Nordic countries, DPP deputy leader Peter Skaarup told AFP.

"It in practice targets those nationals from non-Western countries who are struggling to adapt to Danish society and who would be tempted by a fairly significant sum to go back home forever," he said.

Mr Skaarup said those taking up the offer would receive 11,000 kroner up front.

The remainder of the 100,000 kroner would be paid out once they surrendered their Danish residency permits, he added.

The agreement also calls for 20 million kroner in aid to city councils in charge of integrating immigrants, to help them "motivate" foreigners to return home.

According to the refugee, immigrant and integration ministry, some 2,524 people have voluntarily left Denmark since 1997, when the repatriation programme was introduced.

Most of them were from the former Yugoslavia, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Somalia and Turkey.continues here

Immigration minister launches great debate on 'national identity'

France's minister of immigration and national identity, Eric Besson (left of centre), has launched a debate on French national identity. The opposition, however, has denounced the move as a purely political exercise ahead of March regional elections. 

It’s a big day for Eric Besson. As France’s minister of immigration and national identity, Besson will spend the next three months encouraging and monitoring a debate on French national identity that he officially launched on Monday. Certain controversial ideas have already been floated, such as requiring schools to teach the national anthem.

Besson has reportedly sent an information kit to regional officials who have been charged with organising public meetings on the issue. The ruling Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) party’s parliamentary groups have also been invited to take part. And Besson’s team has launched an Internet site to gather the varied opinions of the French public on the issue, some of which are likely to be quite controversial.

But those within the political community did not wait for the official launch of the debate to make their opinions heard, with both the left and the right flooding Besson’s office with criticism soon after the debate was first announced on October 25.

The left-of-centre opposition has denounced the whole debate as a political exercise designed to drum up support ahead of March 2010 regional elections. “(French President) Nicolas Sarkozy wants to shore up his support among those who support the far-right National Front,” Benoît Hamon, the Socialist Party’s spokesman, told Europe 1 radio.

To prevent the government from gaining the upper hand on a topic so close to the hearts of its supporters, the anti-immigration National Front has criticised the UMP for not going far enough with the debate. Marine Le Pen, second in command at the National Front, on Wednesday requested an interview at the presidential palace.

In announcing his initiative, Besson has also attracted his share of criticism from the ruling party. High commissioner Martin Hirsch called the debate “100% political” and former minister of housing Christine Boutin denounced it as “very risqué”.

Results moved up

Having suffered in the past few weeks from controversies surrounding nepotism charges related to his son, Jean, and the suspected paedophilia tendencies of his minister of culture, Frédéric Mitterrand, Sarkozy has decided to steer the electorate onto safer topics: taxes, security and immigration.

In a bid to address critics who say the debate is merely an electoral ploy, Besson moved up the date for releasing the results by three weeks to February 4. He told Le Figaro daily that, in doing so, he wished to distance the release of the results somewhat from the March regional polls. continues here

Swedes outraged over law allowing officials to snoop on all emails leaving the country

STOCKHOLM, Sweden: More than two million Swedes are saying "No" to a new law that gives the government the right to snoop on all emails and phone calls crossing the country's borders.

The online petition drive comes as other EU countries consider granting authorities unprecedented spying powers over their own citizens amid fears of a mounting terror threat.

"This would have been totally unthinkable before Sept. 11," said Anne Ramberg, Secretary General of the Swedish Bar Association, calling for challenges to the law in Swedish and European courts.

While supporters say the legislation will help avert terrorist attacks by keeping tabs on suspect communications and planned financial transfers, opponents says the measures are just too intrusive.

Swedish telecommunications group TeliaSonera AB and U.S.-based Google Inc. have called the law passed June 18 the most far-reaching eavesdropping plan in Europe, comparable to snooping powers authorized in the United States.

Andreas Hellsten, a 37-year-old engineer, said it reminded him of something the dreaded East German police would have dreamed up had e-mail been around during the Cold War.

"It looks too much like the Stasi," he said. "It is surprising when Sweden passes a law like this."

The law narrowly passed Parliament in a 142-138 vote two weeks ago, despite protests that included demonstrators handing out copies of George Orwell's novel "1984" about a fictional futuristic police state.

It gives Sweden's National Defense Radio Establishment, or FRA, the right to scan all international phone calls, e-mails and faxes without a court order as of January.

"Since 1766, we have had freedom of expression ... Can that be guaranteed if the FRA has to right to monitor, for example, all e-mails from abroad?" Thomas Mattsson, digital editor of the major Swedish newspaper Expressen, wrote in his blog.

The newspaper provides a link that allows readers of its Internet edition to file a protest to lawmakers — and so far more than 2 million Swedes have taken part in the campaign.

Under current law, e-mail and phone surveillance in Sweden require a court order in a suspected criminal case. Critics say the new law will encroach on privacy, jeopardize civil liberties and violate the European Convention on Human Rights.

Sweden's Defense Minister Sten Tolgfors defended the law in an online forum on the Expressen Web site Tuesday, saying data regarding individuals will be destroyed unless it is directly relevant to intelligence activities.

He also stressed the need to defend Sweden from terror attacks like those in New York, Madrid and London.

"The information is needed to evaluate, and meet, outside threats against Sweden," he said.

Even before the law was passed, TeliaSonera in April moved its e-mail servers to Finland because of the expected passage of the legislation.

Timo Lehtinen, of the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority, said he expected other telecommunications groups to rethink how they handle cross-border traffic, and expressed doubts about the effectiveness of the Swedish measures.

"The amount of traffic is so vast that it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack," he said. "If someone was planning some kind of terrorist activity they could make it extremely hard, or even impossible, to trace."

Other EU countries have enacted or are mulling stronger government snooping rules.

Britain has some of the most extensive surveillance powers in the world, allowing law enforcement, intelligence agencies and others to monitor telephone calls, e-mails or mail, with special permission from the Home Secretary.

The evidence in not admissible in court; Prime Minister Gordon Brown wants to change that with new laws allowing use of some wiretap evidence.

In Germany, Parliament is expected to pass a new bill later this year giving officials the right to monitor some criminal suspects' e-mails, but only with a court order, as is the case now for telephone wiretaps in serious crimes.

In Italy, which experts call one of the world's most wiretapped democracies, the debate is going the other way — now focusing on how to do more to protect privacy.

A Swedish opinion poll published last week indicated that 47 percent of Swedes opposed the new law, while 36 percent are for it; the rest were undecided. The margin of error was not available. continues here

Instead you are herded by an evil shepherd, contend for bread and water, happy to be inside the fence, lest the wolves begin their hunt and so the benevolent shepherd protects you from the beast, by penning you in, you exchange freedom for safety and all is well in your world. The fact that the wolf is merely fable, a tale told to help contain the sheep, the wolf no risk, no threat, no danger, still the sheep must see, must witness and so the shepherd antagonises the pack and the lone wolf, the solitary predator shows his teeth. It is enough, the sheep bleat in terror, huddle further into the arms of the benevolent shepherd, the shepherd smiles and builds the pen ever higher and the sheep look on gratefully. 14

The Lessons Kosovo Teaches

As readers of AAWR will know, the European Union has endorsed and plans to act in support of the illegal and completely immoral Kosovan 'independence' action. With senior Western officials claiming that the butchering of the nation of Serbia is worth clashing with Russia over, the UN and NATO sending reinforcements to the new 'border', and many EU member states joining the US in 'recognising' Kosovo as a nation state, it would seem that the whole Western world stands unified in support of the legal atrocity. Or, rather, much of its government. The populace of the West, those within it who know the score on Kosovo, Serbia, and the Albanian demographic invasion, are not happy with this, and I hope many readers will join AAWR in cheering on the Serbians who refuse to tolerate and actively demonstrate against this evil.

While the saga unfolds, it is worth taking a moment to look at the reasons behind the actions of Western governments in all of this. The strangely un-named Western official mentioned above is reported by the Telegraph as saying that 'Europe has stood up and been counted' in backing Kosovan 'independence, and as far as that goes he's absolutely right. When diplomats like that talk about 'Europe', the last thing on their minds is the real Europe of historical and cultural and ethnic history. What they mean is the EU (sometimes jokingly and more accurately described as the EUSSR) and that has certainly been counted, it has been measured and found wanting time and again. Yet still it goes on, an empty, meaningless and soul-less entity with no real tangible goal other than to dissolve nationalities, peoples, histories, and everything that makes European identities real. What we are seeing in the actions of the EU (and the US, sadly) is nothing else than a continuation of an ongoing international effort to abolish nationhood, race, and natural identity itself.

A commenter at View From the Right illustrates this principle very well by pulling out an excerpt of a congratulatory letter sent by US president George W Bush to the 'president' of 'Kosovo' :

"In your request to establish diplomatic relations with the United States, you expressed Kosovo's desire to attain the highest standards of democracy and freedom," Bush wrote. "I fully welcome this sentiment. In particular, I support your embrace of multi-ethnicity as a principle of good governance and your commitment to developing accountable institutions in which all citizens are equal under the law." [emphasis added by commenter]"

Kosovan demographics are about 95% Albanian, with a surviving 5% Serbian. The 'multi' in this equation is horribly one-sided. British readers may remember the remarks made by Greg Dyke on becoming director of the BBC that the BBC was 'hideously white'. It appears that Mr Bush has been taking notes from Mr Dyke and is now rejoicing that Kosovo is no longer 'hideously Serb'. The base line in all 'diversity' and 'multi-' talk, whether the talk is of multiculturalism or multiethnicism, is always that the greater the dilution of the indigenous population, the closer to the extermination of the homeland and the people thereof, the better. The Serbs, having had to face the sharp end of this truth unmasked, are simply faster to realise this than many of us in the anaesthetised West, with the result that as well as protesting and planning rallies against this genocidal plan, some Serbs are taking matters literally into their own hands.


The Brussels Journal explains the matter well when it says:

"[After the Kosovo civil war of the 1990s, t]he Western leaders aimed for the establishment of a multicultural (Christian and Muslim), multi-ethnic (Albanian and Serb) artificial state of Kosovo – a “Kosovar nation” not based on a genuine nation, but on the idealist, postmodern utopias of Western liberalism. They wanted to create another Belgium, a state without national loyalty, without an identity, without a sense of nationhood. The postmodernists reckon that if people have no identity they will stop fighting each other, because there is no flag worth dying for. In order to achieve this chimera, the American and EU armies allied themselves in the Kosovo civil war with the Kosovo Liberation Army, an Albanian Muslim militia trained by al-Qa’eda.

It is no wonder that Belgium, this multinational artificial bogus state that serves as the EU’s model in its attempts to transform the whole of Europe into a multicultural, multinational superstate, was one of the very first to recognize the independence of Kosovo. So did the governing elites of France and Germany, the cheerleaders of the EU project, and the liberal elites that rule Britain and America and that do not believe in national identities either."

The Brussels Journal mistakes Mr Bush's comments for an inability to understand that there is no Kosovan nation. I think the inability lies with the Brussels Journal, in an inability to accept that Mr Bush knows damn well there is no such thing as a Kosovar nation (one doesn't become the absolute leader of the most powerful nation on earth by being a complete dunce), but he does not care. Why should he? The governments of the world are moving away from all the old tried and true models of governance and care for the populace towards a New World Order model where the people are answerable to the government (not the government to the people) and the State defines the Nation rather than the Nation defining the State. The old models arose in a bottom-upwards way from a racial and ethnic group organising itself for its benefit and health, looking for and trying methods to improve its lot in a way that benefitted its members, but the new models are imposed arbitrarily in a top-down way that benefits nobody but the social engineers at the top. The controlling interests, the people pulling the strings, are the ones behind this and benefitting from it, and this plan of genocidal destruction of national and ethnic integrity is shown at its most explicit and educational in today's Kosovan situation. More recent events, especially condemnation from international forces such as the UN and EU of Serbs' protests in Belgrade and Serbs' attacks on embassies of the powers who would so butcher their nation, only serve to highlight this truth.

In the absence of a way to make a concrete difference to help our Serbian friends, we in the West and the rest of the world have the responsibility to at least learn from their misfortunes. Western nations, Christian nations, White nations, these are all on the international social engineer hitlist, and are all under assault to different degrees and in different ways. It is simply the case that in the Serbian Kosovo situation this is easiest to see. What the West, and all white Christian nations must learn from Serbia's troubles is that our culture, our people, our homelands and our futures are all under severe threat, and that if the rot and infection of this genocide are resisted, the 'proper authorities' will come down on the resistance hard and fast. We must make arrangements for the resistance in our own places, in whatever ways and levels we can. Those are the lessons we outside Serbia must learn from Kosovo. For the Serbs themselves, AAWR can only offer the immortal words of British seaside legend Mr Punch:

"That's the way to do it!"
