UK think tank: EU far-Right party has neo-Nazi ties

On the day before two British National Party (BNP) members take their seats in the European Parliament following last month's election victory, a London-based think tank has published a report showing the party's natural affinity with Nazi ideology.

Published Tuesday by the Center for Social Cohesion (CSC), a nonpartisan think tank that studies issues related to community cohesion in the UK, the 63-page report looks into the online activities of the far-Right party. It concludes that the BNP espouses extreme racist views, with material found on BNP-supported YouTube accounts, blogs and Internet forums that contravenes the Racial and Religious Hatred Act of 2006.

Entitled "The BNP and the Online Fascist Network," the study reveals that BNP members, supporters and online activists hold a significant ideological affinity with key tenets of neo-Nazi ideology and extreme racist views. This includes support for violence, anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial, and an admiration of the Third Reich.

"The report shows that the BNP is a party dedicated to promoting racism, and continues to attract and empower adherents to neo-Nazi ideology, whose supporters include admirers of Hitler," said report author Edmund Standing.

"This report shows that the BNP continues to promote an ideology centered on race and racism. It is a socially divisive organization that is attempting to rebrand as a conventional political party in order to gain the legitimacy that some European far-Right parties have managed to achieve in recent years," Standing added.

Blogs run by members and self-professed supporters of the BNP continue to host and link to material that is pro-Nazi, racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic, according to the report. The BNP also continues to sell books produced by neo-Nazi publishing houses on its Web site.

"The blogs and forums run by BNP members and supporters show that the dividing line between the BNP's 'white nationalism' and openly pro-Nazi sentiment is often very thin. In a number of examples, that barrier is nonexistent," said Standing.

The report looks in fine detail at the BNP's ideology and activities. It shows that the official BNP YouTube account - as well as the accounts of the party's Thurrock (southeast England) and Burnley (northwest England) branches, among others - show close links with neo-Nazi and anti-Semitic activists and organizations.

It quotes a member of the Covert Tactics blog, strongly linked to the BNP, who refers to Jews as "greedy subhuman scum," expresses admiration for Hitler and on a number of occasions has denied or trivialized the Holocaust.

The BNP is also guilty of Holocaust denial, according to the study.

The study shows how the head of the BNP legal team, Lee Barnes, supports the National Front, a far-Right, neo-Nazi party, on his blog. He refers to the group as a valid nationalist organization and suggests that they operate as a street force for the BNP. continues here

Tosh

Now of course much of this report is tosh, meaningless, merely collated information freely available within minutes to anybody, it tells us nothing ,of course there is an attack upon the BNP presently, quite simply because they have achieved office. Although any sane, sensible individual, knows that freedom involves somewhat more than political office, in the eyes of many the BNP are no more nationalist than say the Tories, certainly if one were to compare the old Tories to the current incarnation of the BNP, one would be hard pressed to define difference.

Rejected nationalism

The BNP for reasons unknown, have consistently rejected nationalism, opting now for a state sanctioned, evil approved caricature, yet for all that perhaps correct nationalism itself has not presented well and just perhaps we to, lost our way. Within nationalism, be it true nationalism or the BNP’s civic version, ego is all and it is this that creates problem, currently I have to say that I am disillusioned, there is no party that represents me and perhaps there will never be, that is an article in itself.

National Socialism

Nationalists are attracted to any party or organisation that exists because there are not many, not many that speak for them, for this reason many will embrace National Socialism, because it did and does speak for whites and it was successful, at least in dragging Germany up off her knees. Further National Socialism recognised/ recognises, the immense power of Jewry, a power still today in evidence and still opposed, albeit it feebly, by many nationalists.

Hark back

So many tend to hark back, embrace an ideology that did advance, alongside this, whites as a community have lost almost all sense of community, therefore overt tag-names create for many a sense of such. Nationalism is really quite powerful online, has a marked presence, yet in the real world upon the street, it is nowhere to be seen, in many ways nationalisms position has never looked so dire and ironically as nationalism has suffered, so too the people, as nationalism faces extinction, so to the people, one can only remark that, the two are inextricably linked.

Time better spent

In any event the report is there if one wishes to read it, I have and it says nothing, there is no in-depth analysis, no connecting of dots, just leftists cobbling together disparate facts, in hopes of presenting substance and in this they failed remarkably. Perhaps though, this is all they have and if so, it is a complete waste of time and energy, their time would be better spent in explaining via a report just exactly what benefit is derived from the slow steady genocide of a people, if they could but do that ,then that would be worth reading.

The Report is here...
