Appeal over sex attack

DETECTIVES have issued a description of a man they want to speak to in connection with a serious sexual assault on a 16-year-old girl.

The attack occurred in Rise Park at around 9.30pm on Monday, after the girl had been walking home after spending the evening with friends.

The girl had walked over Moorbridge and along Hucknall Road before turning into the disused railway line near the junction with Bestwood Park Drive West.

When the girl was about 100 metres along the path, a man came out of the bushes at the side of path and asked her for a light for his cigarette. After she gave him a light, the man grabbed her and pushed her to the ground before subjecting her to a serious sexual assault. He then made off towards Bestwood Park Drive West.

The victim has described her attacker as black, about 35, and well built. She also said he was unshaven and had stubble on his face. He was dressed all in black, and was wearing a black hooded top and black leather gloves.

She has been left extremely upset by the attack and is currently being cared for by her family.

The area of railway track that was cordoned off yesterday afternoon has undergone a full forensic examination and has now been released by detectives.

Detective Inspector Tim Jones, who is leading the investigation, said: "This was an unprovoked attack on a young girl walking home after spending time with friends, and she has been left deeply traumatised.

"We want to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or who recognises the description of this man. We also would like anyone who saw someone acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the attack or who has any information about the incident, no matter how insignificant they may think it is, to contact police immediately.continues here

Obama half-brother ‘linked to UK sex attack’

BARACK OBAMA’s half-brother has been refused entry to Britain after reportedly being accused of an attempted sex attack on a 13-year-old girl on his last visit.

Samson Obama, who runs a mobile phone shop in Nairobi in Kenya, was on his way to the president’s inauguration in January when he tried to stop over in Britain to visit relatives. But he was turned away by immigration officers who declined to issue a visa on the grounds of deception.

Biometric tests carried out at East Midlands airport showed that he was linked to the attack on a girl in Berkshire last November but never charged, according to a report last night. Further checks identified Samson as the half-brother of President Obama, leading to a hurried call to the White House.

A Home Office source told the News of the World: “This was obviously an extremely sensitive issue when it was flashed up by the database.” Officers had noticed that one of the documents that Samson had supplied with his visa application was false which led them to make further inquiries, according to a Home Office spokesman.

Details on the database suggested that he was the same man who had been arrested by police in Berkshire after approaching a group of young girls, including a 13 year-old, and allegedly trying to sexually assault one of them, the News of the World reported.

He then followed the girls into a cafe where he became aggressive and was asked to leave by the owner. Police were called and Samson was arrested. He reportedly gave officers false identification details and supplied his mother’s address in Bracknell. continues here

Cameroon-born soldier who fought in Iraq for Britain faces deportation over drunken sex offence in barracks

A FORMER soldier who fought in the Iraq war for Britain, is fighting another battle in the UK.

Cameroon-born Charly Ngouh faces being kicked out of the country, after being denied the right to stay following his conviction for a sexual offence in May 2005, while serving in the Army.

Following an evening of drinking in December 2004, Ngouh entered the room of a female Army colleague while she was asleep, in the early hours of the morning. He attempted to touch her breast, but the woman crossed her arms to prevent him from doing so, and told him to stop.

Ngouh then left her room.

He was subsequently charged and punished by the military. Ngouh went on to fight in Iraq for seven months in 2006.

He left the Army voluntarily in March 2008, but the incident has hindered his attempt to stay in the UK.

A remorseful Ngouh told The Voice: “I messed up but I did put my life on the line for this country. “I have sisters, so it has not been nice. I’ve left the incident behind and I just want to move on.” The Government has twice refused his application to stay in Britain and Ngouh says this is the worst time of his life. “It’s worse than being in Iraq, because in Iraq I had my boys around me and they were people who I could put my life in their hands,” he said. “It is extremely frustrating, especially knowing what I went through for the last five years.

“I’m exhausted emotionally. It’s like facing the death penalty. I’ve been paying taxes and not claiming anything, abiding by

the rules with plans for the future.” Ngouh arrived in England eight years ago as a student of Cambridge University, where he

studied for two years. He then decided to join the Army. Ngouh now wants to return to his studies and build a new life

in England, but it looks like he will be unable to do so.

“I’ve got un unconditional offer from the University of Southampton, which is the reason why I left the Army in the first place,” he said. “This Government is stopping me. They are stopping me because I am no use to them any more. They are just kicking me to the side really.”

In a statement, a spokesperson for the UK Borders Agency said: ‘All individuals who come to the UK are expected to play by the rules. All applications for leave to remain in the UK are considered on an individual basis in line with immigration rules. ‘Applications that do not meet the rules will be refused.’ But Ngouh is being supported by the Royal British Legion. continues here

It is the first duty of government to protect its citizens, this government and successive governments, have failed to do so, perhaps we should no longer look to the state for protection perhaps it is time to arrange our own. Or perhaps you will continue with your life, markedly unconcerned, as events such as this occur, it is also the duty of the people, to resist invasion, a treacherous government and attack, when will you say enough, when it is your back against the wall?
