'High Priest' who raped and raped again is finally caged - 25 years on

A MULTIPLE rapist who changed his name by deed poll to Joshua the High Priest and led a
"charmed life" after attacking two teenage women in Sheffield was finally jailed today - 25 years after he claimed his first victim.
The crimes of 51 year-old Priest, were described by detectives who successfully reopened the cases - which date back to the mid-1980s - as "every woman's worst nightmare".

The dreadlocked Priest was arrested after the second incident but released when there was insufficient evidence to charge him.

A judge at Sheffield Crown Court heard how joiner Priest - who changed his name from Robert Wilson - violently raped an 18-year-old woman in Sheffield in 1984.

The court was told the young woman got into his car thinking it was taxi after she finished a shift behind a nightclub bar.

She was driven to a quiet area in the Broomhall area of the city where she was hit and raped.

Judge Graham Robinson heard she was severely traumatised by the incident to the extent she later tried to kill herself by cutting her wrists and lying down in a road hoping to be run over.

He was then told how, in 1985, Priest attacked a 17-year-old girl who had been staying at her boyfriend's house, also in the Broomhall area, after the defendant broke in looking for cash.

Priest threatened the girl with a "rusty sword" he found in the house and then a bread knife before committing a very serious sexual assault on her in the kitchen.

"Please no. Please God, don't do this to me"... Judge Graham Robinson heard that girl, who was a virgin, begged the defendant to stop, saying: "Please no. Please God, don't do this to me".

The judge said Priest's threats to her must have "chilled her to her core".

Grandfather Priest, of Sunny Bank, Broomhall, admitted rape and the second serious sexual assault at a hearing last month.

The court was told today that in 1986 he was convicted of another knifepoint rape in Broomhall which he committed just weeks after the attack on the 17-year-old.

The judge in 1986 jailed him for seven years for this rape and for robbing the victim, who was a prostitute.

He was also jailed for three years in 1993 for a sexual assault on a 10-year-old girl which took place in either 1991 or 1992.

Priest was arrested in connection with the attack on the 17-year-old in 1985, shortly after the incident, but never prosecuted.

He was re-arrested in connection with the 1984 and 1985 offences last year after South Yorkshire Police found a match between Priest's DNA on the national database and samples retained from the crime scene.

Priest's conviction and lengthy sentence will be hailed as another success for South Yorkshire Police's Cold Case Review team, which has seen a string of violent sex offenders put behind bars.

Det Sgt Ian Harding, who runs the unit on a day-to-day basis, said Priest was on the national DNA database because he had scores of convictions for offences involving robbery, burglary and drugs.

Mr Harding said he believed Priest could be responsible for other serious sex offences but he did not have the evidence to bring them to court at the moment.

Asked about Priest's crimes, the detectives said they were "particularly horrific".

Mr Harding said: "The offence of rape is horrific for any woman. But, given the aggravating features here, surely this has got to be every woman's worst nightmare."

He went on: "Unfortunately these two ladies have had to spend their lives learning to deal with what has happened to them.

"Thankfully they've now got this to help them deal with it."

The court heard how the 1984 investigation ran into difficulties when the victim eventually stopped co-operating because, she said, the police at the time were not dealing with her appropriately.

Judge Robinson heard how the woman alleged six male officers watched her undress but he was told this was unlikely to have been true.

The woman also alleged an officer at the time made a comment about her not wearing a bra.

The judge said: "I think it's accepted that at that time rape victims weren't treated with the same sensitivity that they are now."

Mr Harding said the fact the victim was now being believed was very important to her.

Asked about how Priest was arrested and released in 1985, the detective praised his predecessors for getting as far as they did. continues here

Pictured: The terrifying moment when a would-be rapist dragged his victim off the street

Gripping his intended victim so she has no chance of escape, a would-be rapist forces the woman off the street with terrifying strength.

The 18-year-old had been out with friends when she was seized by the powerfully built man and dragged along 'like an animal'.

She was pulled into a side street and forced to the ground - but thankfully a passer-by heard her cries and came to the rescue.

Her attacker, schizophrenic Samson Bello, 23, committed two other sex attacks on women within hours of this.

The Nigerian-born predator, who came to Britain ten years ago, was sentenced this week at Southwark Crown Court in London. He will be detained indefinitely under the Mental Health Act.

He pleaded guilty to four charges - three attempted rapes and one count of kidnapping with intent to commit a sexual offence.

The harrowing images of the attack, which took place near King's Cross in Central London, were released yesterday as it emerged that detectives tracked Bello to his home using CCTV.

Yard chiefs say the case proves the value of surveillance cameras.

The court heard Bello pounced on his first victim on March 29 and attacked another three - including this woman - two days later.

He lurked in darkened alleys waiting for them to approach.

Bello, who has a history of mental illness, launched his first attack on a 16-year-old girl in Marylebone High Street at 3.30am on March 29.

The victim said she was grabbed by Bello who told her: 'Come with me. If you scream then I’ll hurt you.'

She was pulled into an alleyway and assaulted before a passer-by intervened. Two days later Bello went on the rampage attacking three women in three hours.

A 24-year-old woman was attacked in the Prince of Wales Passage off Hampstead Road at 12.30am.

The Spanish woman fought back and the attack was interrupted by a passer-by.

As they walked past, he grabbed them, dragged them into the shadows, threw them to the ground and did his best to tear off their clothes.

Their screams and the intervention of passers-by forced him to flee on three occasions, while the last victim he attacked put up such a determined fight he gave up.

Apart from severe psychological trauma, all escaped with bruises and abrasions.

Police examined hours of CCTV street and bus footage and eventually tracked the defendant to Hackney, East London, where he lived.

They then 'flooded' the area with officers and days later spotted him yards from his home.

Unemployed Bello pleaded guilty to attempting to rape a 16-year-old girl as well as carbon copy offences against a 24-year- old Spanish tourist and the 18-year-old student in Islington two days later.

He also pleaded guilty to kidnapping another student, 20, 'with intent to commit a serious sexual offence'. continues here

EDITOR'S Comment: You see the truth of the matter is that successive governments are almost as much to blame as the perpetrators, were it not for their insistence upon flooding this country with all and sundry then many victims would not have been created. Negroes have a high incidence of schizophrenia and similar mental illness and it is no lie to state that as such they present an absolute risk to the public at large. Yet we permit the influx of tens of thousands per year and little is done to check background and in many cases a background check is impossible, under a true nationalist government repatriation would be introduced and non-whites would be returned to their ancestral homeland, making the streets safer for all.

Five children rescued from paedophile dens

Five children have been rescued from paedophiles in a series of raids on homes in England and Scotland.

The boys and girls, aged between seven and 13, had been attacked on a regular basis and their abusers had planned to broadcast their ordeals over the internet.

Prosecutors in Edinburgh said that the police raids took place last month on three properties in central Scotland using intelligence gathered after the arrest of a man for alleged sexual offences.

Scottish police passed on information to their English counterparts, who carried out further raids.

Scotland’s National Sex Crimes Unit (NSCU), established earlier this year, has begun legal proceedings against a number of suspects.

“This was one of our most harrowing and disturbing cases, but it clearly demonstrated the value of, and real need for, the unit,” said Derek Ogg QC, who heads the NSCU.

“Until the police investigation revealed these results, we were unaware of the full extent of child exploitation going on in our own backyard.”

The NSCU was established in March, and is the only unit of its type in Europe, with a team of eight prosecutors involved from the first complaint of a sex crime all the way through to its prosecution.

It is modelled on the Sex Crime Unit in the New York County District Attorney’s office, which has been dedicated to the investigation and prosecution of sexual assault since 1974. As well as increasing conviction rates, the New York unit is credited with handling its caseload with a sensitivity to the issues involved for victims.

“It takes amazing dedication sifting through the evidence to get success like this,” Mr Ogg told the Daily Record.

“We did our bit by making sure local fiscals’ sexual offences teams, led by us, cut through any red tape of bureaucracy, allowing the police to move fast and put the kids first. continues here

CHILD SEX OFFENDERS 'GIVEN CAUTION'

08:10 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

Hundreds of adult sex offenders are being let off with a caution, it has been revealed.

Official figures showed more than 200 paedophiles who admitted having sexual activity with children aged under 13 were cautioned by police.

The most recent figures showed less than half of those who admitted or were convicted of such offences were jailed.

The Tories said the statistics showed "lax" sentencing standards.

But the Ministry of Justice said it was not always right to make children give evidence at trial, and offenders given cautions would still have to sign the sex offenders register.

Between 2004 and 2007 some 229 sex offenders were given cautions for sexual activity with a child under 13, a category of offence which includes child rape and child prostitution.

In 2007, less than half those who admitted or were convicted of such an offence were jailed. A third were cautioned and a fifth were given a community or suspended sentence.

Shadow justice secretary Dominic Grieve said: "Ministers regularly make loud announcements about cracking down on paedophiles.

"Yet these figures show that, with 30% getting off with a slap on the wrist, law enforcement is at its most lax in protecting the most vulnerable."  continues here

Sneinton sex attacker was Afghan asylum seeker

21:07 by Editor · 0 Post a comment on AAWR

AN ASYLUM seeker from Afghanistan has admitted he was the sex attacker who brought terror to the streets of Sneinton.

A sudden wave of incidents in December, 2006, sparked police warnings for women to be vigilant and repeated appeals for information.

Police issued a CD-fit of the sex attacker and put up posters appealing to local people to help them catch him.

”He was completely out of control and very violent”

Self-defence classes were held in the area and more than 250 attack alarms were handed out by police.

But yesterday, at Nottingham Crown Court, Nooroz Hameed Khan, formerly of Kimberley Street, Sneinton, admitted he was the sex attacker. He pleaded guilty to three charges of sexual assault on the women.

He first struck at 4pm on Thursday, December 21, 2006, when a 29-year-old Sneinton woman was on her way to meet her sister in Trent Lane. Khan struck up a conversation with her and then groped her.

In Meadow Lane 50 minutes late, a 16-year-old girl was seriously sexually assaulted. She managed to push her attacker off and ran away.

And on Christmas Day he targeted another victim, a 24-year-old woman, in Dale Street. He began talking to her, but she kicked him and escaped.

In an exclusive interview with the Post at the time, the Trent Lane victim said: "He was completely out of control and very violent.

"I am scared to go out on my own, even in daylight. Until he's caught I won't rest.

"I hate the thought of him still out there waiting to attack someone else."

After hearing he had pleaded guilty, she said she was relieved. "I can put this behind me," she said.

Khan had lived in Rotherham since he applied for asylum in January, 2008. He said he had fled the Taliban.

He was arrested in July last year and originally accused of five offences, but prosecutors decided to drop a fourth charge of sexual assault and an allegation of assault causing actual bodily harm.  continues here

It is the first duty of government to protect its citizens, this government and successive governments, have failed to do so, perhaps we should no longer look to the state for protection perhaps it is time to arrange our own. Or perhaps you will continue with your life, markedly unconcerned, as events such as this occur, it is also the duty of the people, to resist invasion, a treacherous government and attack, when will you say enough, when it is your back against the wall?

DNA farce of white man on rape charge in case where victim said attacker was black
CHARLOTTE GILL and DUNCAN ROBERTSON

A white man was wrongly charged with rape on flawed DNA evidence, even though the victim said her attacker was black.

The 26-year-old was arrested after police carried out a cold case review on the assault of a teenage girl seven years ago.

Scientists tested a hair on the girl and came up with a match to the father of two. He was bailed, tagged and warned he faced a trial.

Yesterday, following a four-month ordeal, he walked free from court after the prosecution offered no evidence against him.

He was arrested last October after detectives reinvestigated the attack on the 17-year-old girl in Bexleyheath, Kent.

She was assaulted as she walked home after a meal with a friend in December 2001.

The offender grabbed her around the neck, dragged her into a garden where he ripped her clothes off and raped her.

She told her mother and police that her attacker was "black, large and tall".

The arrested man is white, 5ft 5in and slim and said he had not been to Bexleyheath.

Prosecutor Lisa Wilding told Southwark Crown Court: "This case has an extremely unusual aspect to it in that the description given of her assailant by the complainant is of a large, tall, black man, which this defendant is clearly not......Article conts (-)
