Israelis 'rehearse Iran attack'

Israel has carried out an exercise that appears to have been a rehearsal for an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, US officials have told the New York Times.

More than 100 Israeli fighter jets took part in manoeuvres over the eastern Mediterranean and over Greece in the first week of June, US officials said.

Iran insists its programme is peaceful, but Israel sees Iran's development of the technology as a serious threat.

Tehran is defying a demand from the UN that it stop the enrichment of uranium.

The UN Security Council approved a third round of sanctions against Iran over the issue in March 2008.

The Israeli exercise, it seems, was designed to send a message to Tehran that Israel has the power and will to attack if it thought Iran was close to getting a nuclear weapon, the BBC's Jeremy Bowen reports.

None of what has been said and done so far means an attack on Iran is coming and talk of one faded out after US intelligence reported at the end of 2007 that Iran had given up its nuclear weapons programme, he notes.

But now it is back and that is significant, our Middle East Editor says.

Mohammed ElBaradei, head of the UN's nuclear watchdog, said an attack would put Iran on a "crash course" to building nuclear weapons.

"A military strike, in my opinion, would be worse than anything possible - it would turn the region into a fireball," he told Al Arabiya television in an interview.

"It would make me unable to continue my work," he said. Continues here

Jeru-salaam, -shalom & -salem,

Could you kindly comment, whether my details are correct in a dissident essay in
http://www.helsinki.fi/~pjojala/Iran-Under-Attack_Raid-over-Iran.htm ?

Palestinians were sacrifized
Chaim Weizmann and Emir Feisal were companions and emphasized the racial relations and community between the Jews and the Arabs, in contrast to the European elitist thinking even officially in the Versailles treaty.

WHAT THE EUROPEAN (and US, later on) colonialists were most afraid of, was the business collaboration between the Jews and the Arabs.

When 'bestowing' independence, the old landlords did EVERYTHING to knock down the close and friendly associations between those "cousins".

Wahhabites to lead Arabia. Yasser Arafat's uncle to serve as the great mufti of Jerusalem, the most pathological hater of the Jews the could found.

PLO was founded by the Arab League, not the Palestinians. Palestinians, whom I love, were and are USED.

USED I say! Used as a 'vanguard'.

You can read it from the PLO articles directly:
http://www.yale.edu/lawweb/avalon/mideast/plocov.htm

"Article 14:
The destiny of the Arab nation, and indeed Arab existence itself, depend upon the destiny of the Palestine cause. From this interdependence springs the Arab nation's pursuit of, and striving for, the liberation of Palestine. The people of Palestine play the role of the vanguard in the realization of this sacred (qawmi) goal.

Article 7:
It is a national duty to bring up individual Palestinians in an Arab revolutionary manner. All means of information and education must be adopted in order to acquaint the Palestinian with his country in the most profound manner, both spiritual and material, that is possible. He must be prepared for the armed struggle and ready to sacrifice his wealth and his life...

Article 10:
Commando action ('FEDAYEEN' ) constitutes the nucleus of the Palestinian popular liberation war. This requires its escalation, comprehensiveness, and the mobilization of all the Palestinian popular and educational efforts and their organization and involvement in the armed Palestinian revolution.

On this basis the Palestinian masses, regardless of whether they are residing in the national homeland or in diaspora (mahajir) constitute - both their organizations and the individuals - one national front working for the retrieval of Palestine and its liberation through armed struggle.

Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine. This it is the overall strategy, not merely a tactical phase."

Palestinians were sacrifized. I do not accept this loss of human dignity. Be it either the civilian Obama or the 5-year Viet-Kong suicidal captive admirals son McCain, please mention the forgotten Iraqi Christians... BUT DO NOT ATTACK IRAN...

PS. Melchizedech of Salem in the first book of the Jewish Bible was paid tithes by Abraham. Jeru-salem, -salaam & -shalom that is. Jeshua ("Joshua") is the "Immanu-el" ("G*'d within us") prophezied Prince of Peace of the Isaiah 9. The Jewish prince just isn't crowned the king yet but considered a heathen and a pagan, in the city of peace.

I am afraid sir that I have been unable to find the article in question to comment upon, although your site is indeed interesting, it is of course quite true that the Palestinians have suffered and indeed vast portions of the Islamic world. However for me, the impact upon my culture that is to say, Western culture is of some pressing concern, I believe that in order for peace to break out anew accommodation must be reached between both Islam and the west, and we must strive to prevent a war between our peoples. How to do this, the press in the west is wholly owned by malevolent forces, in this manner whole swathes of the population are steered towards a particular viewpoint, believing quite erroneously that it is their own thought processes that have helped shaped their decision, propaganda used consistently over a long enough period of time produces just such an effect.

In the first instance, we must as a matter of some urgency deliver truth to a wider audience, in effect counter the owned media however, Islam does itself no favours as it attacks soft western targets, it merely makes for itself a mortal enemy. One can have no sympathy for Palestinians, if one is washing blood off the streets spilt in their name, as a nationalist I have great sympathy for Palestine and I fully comprehend the Machiavellian activities of our purported free press, nationalism having recently suffered its evil intent. Nationalism has been rend asunder and now lies in ruins, populated by Zionist impostors and so the voices of peace are stilled, whilst the warmongers ratchet up their ill-intentioned agenda. For true peace between all peoples to triumph, borders must be respected alongside recognition of difference coupled with mutual respect, our world can still I believe prevent the coming storm yet time is not with us, thank you sir for your time, I shall of course read your site quite avidly. 14

I wonder if this address was functioning:
http://www.helsinki.fi/~pjojala/Expelled-Jews-statistics.htm
?

In 1948, there were altogether 23 countries that declared Jihad against Israel. Also there, England tried to ruin the business collaboration between the Jews and the Arabs: In its mandate, England prevented the Jews from preparing to the approaching war by forbidding the Jews to carry a gun, by the capital punishment. Only Jews were not allowed to gather arsenal. That is the main eason why so many Muslim countries declared the "holy" war: It was supposed to be an easy victory.

It is United States that profits from Israel, rather than the opposite. Israel got direct aid worth some 120 million € in 2007, but open brain drain is its prerequisite. Astonishing number of 25% of the Israeli researchers have moved to the United States - and this figure does not yet include the people with double citizenship. The next largest drain of researchers are 12.2% from Canada, 4.3% from Netherlands, and 4.2% from Italy.

The population of Arabs under the Israeli government increased ten-fold in only 57 years. Palestinian life expectancy increased from 48 to 72 years in 1967-95. The death rate decreased by over 2/3 in 1970-90 and the Israeli medical campaigns decreased the child death rate from a level of 60 per 1000 in 1968 to 15 per 1000 in 2000 at the Westbank. (An analogous figure was 64 in Iraq, 40 in Egypt, 23 in Jordan, and 22 in Syria in 2000). During 1967-88 the amount of comprehensive schoold and second level polytechnic institutes for the Arabs was increased by 35%. During 1970-86 the proportion of Palestinian women at the West Bank and Gaza not having gone to school decreased from 67 % to 32 %. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita in West Bank and Gaza increased in 1968-1991 from 165 US dollars to 1715 dollars (compare with 1630$ in Turkey, 1440$ in Tunis, 1050$ in Jordan, 800$ in Syria, 600$ in Egypt. and 400$ in Yemen).

Before the Second Intifada, there were nearly 200 Israeli companies listed in the Nasdaq, at the Intifada the count dropped to 70. (The number is still greater than from all the European countries combined). It is said that the dollars are green since the Americans pull them down from the tree raw and fresh. The start-ups are imported straight from the garage, and scaling up of production in the "conflict hotspot" has been considered impossible. But the new Millennium has brought a change in tide despite the Gaza rocket attacks... But do not attack Iran...
